How Do I: Apply Early Decision Using Common App and SCOIR

    I loved the video, very cool information! I'd just like to know why you didn't put the responsible person's e-mail… is it mandatory? or you just didn't fill in to follow video?

      Our school uses SCOIR, not Common App, to submit materials. Because of this, we do not want Common App to send that person an invitation to recommend (because they will not be using the Common App to do the recommendation).

      Early Decision (and Early Decision 2) are binding. Early Action, Regular Decision and Rolling Decision are not binding.

    Very helpful, thank you. Just curious if there are a few days that pass after applying early action or early decision and you decide you changed your mind and want to move an early action school over to regular decision, is this possible?

      There generally wouldn't be a reason to switch from EA to RD (unless your other materials wouldn't be ready by the EA deadline). In any case, the student could contact the college by email/phone to request the change. There's no way to change it anywhere else once the student has applied. Most schools will be just fine with switching a student to a later deadline.
