Iv died and gone to heaven I need this in my life, even a little teaspoon of garlic more for me I do love garlic. All the very best from Scotland 👍🏻👍🏻🏴🏴🏴
That curry looks fantastic,, these lads who cook Asian food are worth their weight in gold , I’m a regular at an Asian cafe / restaurant,, it’s not somewhere you’d go normally as it’s more of a cafe ,, but their food is absolutely gorgeous,, I normally get a curry of the day , with naan, then I buy two more for home ,,,,
After watching this I truly understand the difference between home cooked and take away pan fry up. It's the difference between Pizza and New York pizza without being culturist!
That looks great. I must remember not to use so much base gravy in my curries. I like a 'saucy' curry, but my electric hob can't generate enough heat to reduce it fast enough.
If it takes longer it takes longer I learnt not to long ago that you absolute must cook out the base gravy otherwise I ruins the curry. I sometimes use a tiny touch of water over putting that last bit of base in because it cooks out quicker.
Naaaaaah!! Use the gravy same as normal. But use a spoon!!! It's all flavour. Either, then send it to meeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!! :o)))))))))))))))))))))))))) Failing that, then just freeze the rest of the gravy and use it another day with pasta/noodles etc. THEN you could STILL send it to meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :o))))))))))))))))))) xxxxx
Yes. Lamb is always pre-cooked when making this style of curry. I'm not sure exactly which cut, but it's probably shoulder, possibly leg. Visit my website to see my recipe for preparing it: mistyricardo.com/pre-cooked-lamb-recipe/
Hi Rich, I was interested in reading the recipes in the description but it is unfortunately cut off, is there any way of reading about the madras paste and masala sauce recipes? Many thanks
Yes. If you're cooking from home take the time to cook the onions from raw in a curry though. The service onions are mostly used in takeaways and restaurants for speed.
Where would we be without Asian immigrants! They are the masters of the food chain , when British people are asked ! What’s your favourite British food! They say curry 🍛 😂 and rightly so , there’s a huge range of either Indian Pakistani Afghan and the original Bangladeshi food . Which is mouthwatering divine and there’s a huge choice if your prepared to search the menu , thanks to all immigrants and as far as I’m concerned, your welcome to come here , you’ve more to offer than just food , but that’s my favourite 😍
I would love to buy some bits and pieces from eastathome, but £9.99 delivery for something I know I can send anywhere in the UK for ~£2-3 is scandalous. No way >:[
They have to send their chilled foods by courier for next day delivery and in special packaging. They are actually subsiding the p&p costs believe it or not.
@@MistyRicardo I only wanted mix powder to give it a try. I was slightly mistaken, in that it's only £9.99 if the order is under £40 - if I order £40s worth of mix powder (!?) the delivery is free. So, not as bad as I originally thought, but still awfully expensive for a few 100g of powder.
They're still refining their website product offerings and pricing, so I'm quite sure they would not intend to charge £9.99 delivery for a bag of mix powder. Get in contact with them I know they'd be very keen to help you with a sample.

So great to see an actual curry made to order, the kitchen is immaculate and set up beautifully

East is the best takeaway around from Ashton myself I’ll try this looks good.
Hi Richard, sound quality is spot on now, keep up the the good content 👍
So many layers of flavour. Mouth watering!
There could be about 5 individual videos/recipes within this video 😂
After watching this I truly understand the difference between home cooked and take away pan fry up. It's the difference between Pizza and New York pizza without being culturist!
Very very good video, refreshing that you capture the 'real deal' as it were 10/10
Wow looks absolutely beautiful that🤩garlic pilau and garlic naan with it😍
My mouth is watering so much watching this!
I just need some nann bread.. then I be in heaven.. yummy
Just add a cold beer too !
Dear Lord, how I miss the UK curry scene and especially the north west. Never realised how spoilt we were for decent BIR grub until I moved away

Great video and a lovely looking curry.
Thank you 🙏
Looking forward to the recipes for the onions and masala’s 👍🏻
A bit of coconut milk ! Luv that .
Looks fantastic and tasty. Can I ask, what is the spice mix you mention for the onions please?
Omg!! Looks delish!!
This made me hungry will definitely be doing this
No one thinks your making it up lol it dose look really nice!
Hi love the videos what type of pans are best to cook with I'm using a cast iron pot at the moment but not sure if be better using something else
Aluminium (not non-stick) is the best (won't work on induction hobs through).
Just being fussy bit a bit of coriander on top to garnish it will finish of this stunning dish! 👏
Looks lush
When the lamb is added, is it already cooked a bit, maybe even already tender as lamb cooked quickly from raw is normally quite tough?
Hi, yes the lamb is cooked already.
Here's my recipe for pre-cooking the lamb: mistyricardo.com/pre-cooked-lamb-recipe/
Looks good! Any tips on where to get a pan like one shown in video?
My mouth is watering I can almost taste that!
Chef did a great job with it. 👍
This looks very nice indeed 🤤 Can you tell me what the 'cratering' is and why its a good thing? Great video, great food 🔥
Thank you. This video of mine will help explain: ua-cam.com/video/hAkZjC-hosc/v-deo.html 👍
Looks so delicious.

@@MistyRicardo absolutely superb misty 👌🏼👌🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Mixed spice?What are the contents?
Is the lamb pre cooked before adding to the other ingredients and what cut of lamb is used? It looks delicious.

Very nice thanks
Not seen much use of ghee, I feel sometimes some places use too much oil/ghee, these look amazing!!
Would love a video of Garlic chicken tika

Can you do a Garlic chilli chicken masala please 😋
Hi Rich, I was interested in reading the recipes in the description but it is unfortunately cut off, is there any way of reading about the madras paste and masala sauce recipes? Many thanks
What you need exactly..I can help
all well but should say what spices are been used.not a on different section bro
I can’t find this in the compendium. Not service onions
That looks nice have you got any duck breast curry recipes had one the other night in Indian restaurant it was lovely
Looks amazing without the tomato for me 🤤
Where are the recipes for the masala pastes?
Has anyone bought and tried the mix powder or base gravy yet?
Great channel, great videos, so much rubbish on YT but this is simple, direct and descriptive.
Thanks!
Went on the website they aren’t selling the gravy
Why would people think you are making it up that it's lovely
How much garlic went in?
Hi. Do you know if this dish is also known as "North Indian Garlic Chilli Lamb"? Looks amazing 😁
Yes it can be. This particular takeaway doesn't use much chilli unless the customer asks for it.
@@MistyRicardo thanks
WAY TOO MUCH GARLIC! Unless you work from Home!🤣
top man Ricky
Can the service onions be frozen once cooked..?
Yes. If you're cooking from home take the time to cook the onions from raw in a curry though. The service onions are mostly used in takeaways and restaurants for speed.
Is there a recipe for "service onions"...
In the description! ;)
Would this be ok with goat?
Yes I'm sure it would be good.
@@MistyRicardo it was 😃 thanks for responding here and on Twitter earlier! It’s really appreciated!
Can you do some veggie options next?
There’s a saag aloo video I did recently. Check it out.
What are service onions????
They’re precooked for speed of service
still waiting on your service onion recipe????
mix spice??

@@MistyRicardo Thanx!
Can’t beat a good ruby
How long is the lamb pre cooked for? As chewy lamb is such a put off. And ruins the whole dish.
At least an hour. There are different ways of doing it. Here's my recipe: mistyricardo.com/pre-cooked-lamb-recipe/
They don't cook it like this in a busy takeaway or Restaurant. It would be impossible to get enough meals done in the short period when it's busy
It was pre service and taking it slower for the video
Lamb Buna?
Most of the spice comes from the chilli powder not the fresh chilli.
As a vegan, I’d just leave out the lamb and this looks amazing!!

Looks more like a Garlic Lamb Bhuna than a Curry
