I love the packaging for Red Velvet solo albums (Irene&Seulgi, Wendy, Joy, Queendom), the case version looked so unique as if it's a lunch box/dessert box. They're compact, sturdy, and surely beautiful to be displayed.
Worst kind of packaging is always the tins they never sit right on my shelves and cuz they are metal they rust and ruin other albums, love jewel cases for simple lik singles and the cd on one side with book on the other, it’s simple and sturdy and protect the cds well
Thw worst types of album packaging is thoes where your forced to destory the album in order to get to the contents inside. Like the SMTTOWN Winter album where you need to destory the packaging or in this case tear a sticker in order to get to the contents inside
nmixx, lesserafim and txt too 😭😭😭 like damn i know yall care abt unboxing experience but some ppl wanna keep it mint considering how fucking expensive albums are
I am not a K-Pop listener, but those packages are really neat! I love when people put great effort into CD covers, it proves that they can be very beautiful.
One more packaging that I hate would be the bubble mailer packaging/shoved in the bag packaging TT I don't know if there are some other groups who did this in the past but Loona's Not Friends album is in a bubble mailer foil-ishy packaging which I absolutely hate. Also Stayc's Young-Luv which is in a foil bag with some metallic designs in front (this one is pretty decent but I still don't like it). Same goes for Itzy's Guess Who and Twice's Formula of Love Special Edition thingy which is a CD case or jewel case that is shoved in the bag along with the inclusions.
One of the most beautiful designed albums I own is Young Forever. I was so impressed when I got it. I really dislike magazine albums, Atlantis looks so cool but it's not very easy to display. (Also, didn't realize I was on my business account. 🤣) -Shannah
I love kpop albums for their different types in album packaging but for me my by far favourite kind is magazine one. Its just so nice to look at the pictures which are so big :D But also close followed are those box albums. Which I dont like at all are CD or Jewel Case because they are just boring for me.
Here’s an overview for the vid! Let me know what your fave/least fave packaging styles are! 0:00 - Intro 0:55 - CD Cases 1:23 - Jewel Cases 2:20 - Book Albums 3:31 - Magazine Albums 4:35 - Sleeved Albums 6:30 - Box Albums 8:59 - Hinge Lid Boxes 12:41 - Open Side Boxes 13:16 - Hybrid Packaging 19:48 - TXT Album Collection 23:24 - Wrap-up
thank you soo much for taking your time to do this video!! as a design student it's so interesting when designers try something different for albums and concepts and you can see they really thought about it while making the packagings (specially TXT's ones, i love the design studio they hired for the dream chapter). saved a lot of nice info from here!!
personally, digipacks are my favorite form of kpop album. i love how compact they are, and although they may have some fewer inclusions than full-sized albums, i still think theyre better. theyre also cheaper which is nice lol
Anyways I definitely love those box type packaging same with the book packaging but only those with hard cover since I love showing the spine of my albums. Some book packaging like Itzy's Not Shy and Ive's Eleven are so hard to display since they are tiny and very thin. One more thing that I hate on some of my albums are those with some papers or stickers that you need to rip open. Example: Lesserafim's Fearless and that one album of Key which looks like a toy packaging.
I bought the Aespa "Savage" album from my friend and it was the digipack version, and I hate the fact that it couldve been the case version!! But it was like a third of the original price so its ok
hello! i don’t know where else to ask to get a quick reply so i’m asking here! i want to get a stray kids album but i’m confused which one to get. there’s a,b, random, a+b, etc. i’m just confused what the differences are so if anyone could tell me that’d help me a lot. ty :)
Hi hi! Which stray kids album are you trying to get? A is usually the “main” concept of the title track, whereas B is usually a B-side or related shoot to A. Random means you don’t know which (A or B) you will get. A+B means you are buying both versions. Ask if you have more questions, hope that helps!

Digipacks are much more cost effective, and as I continue to collect albums, I appreciate having the extra space, too 😅 Thank you for watching!
17:51 I was about to comment that this was my most favorite packaging and yes except for the part that the photobook is glued! 😂

@@takuto2512 tysm have a great day :D
That hello future album looks like a catalogue 💀
So truueee 😔
Actually the ateez one is a jewelcase, the shinee one is a sacd case or something like that
I suddenly miss ghost9 😭
I know 😭😭 I thought their all-white hair was sign of a comeback, but I guess we have to wait longer 😔
Digipack? I'm confused about it
digipaks are just a more environmentally friendly and cost friendly version of the jewelcase, inspired by vinyl packaging gatefolds!
