Love the honesty in this vlog. You guys work hard for what you believe in - good that you show that in videos like this. The great thing is (as you say) your lifestyle beats the tyranny of routine and that is a prize worth winning. I get to work from home 2 days every week and I get far more done than I do in the office - and more flexibility over when I work too, so I really get why you love that aspect of your lives.
The freedom and flexibility is the way life should be, we love it! Like you said though, we genuinely work very hard to have it and keep it :) Working from home is great as well, glad you get to experience that - we both used to try for that sort of flexibility in past jobs with relatively little success, but when it works out its such a great balance. No coffee has topped Vietnam, nope! Although that one overpriced one in Manila is pretty close. Stace has actually had some pretty serious eye infections sadly, shes forced to wear her glasses now and cant wear contacts which is a bit of a shame. Had a few specialist doctor appointments and hoping the new drugs get it all sorted out. She used to wear contacts every day!

Just finished your book! So well written guys, really packed with so much useful info for becoming a digital nomad. My hubby and I have been doing the digital nomad thing for over 5 years now and I still found your book super useful especially in the 2nd half, you’ve done lots of travel in SEA where we’re heading soon but haven’t been to yet! (We’re Kiwis and so far have been travelling in the US/Canada/UK and at home) What struck me about your book was you were giving out some great advice but you’re still very much in the hustle phase and that’s cool but I feel a bit further into the journey than you guys, so perhaps I can help you out with some digital nomad advice?! (bet you guys don’t hear that very often lol!) You did mention in your book the goal being passive income but it really is absolute key. You’ve got half of the puzzle solved, minimalism mind set, experiences over stuff and living nomadically in countries where your NZD goes further so that’s your expenses well handled. The other half is all passive income. Your expenses must equal your passive income. Financial freedom guys, it’s totally doable! You’ve broken free from 9-5 now you have to get away from working for the hour at all. You think it’s cool to choose to work your own hours from a cafe in Bali on the beach and it fricken is! But it’s even cooler to earn $ 24/7 and wake up with more $ than you went to bed with! I am a fan of your vlogs and so I know you guys have the skill set to get more passive income coming in. I’ve always thought of it as a ratio of one to five. Take 5 shots at revenue streams which create long term passive income and 4 will probably fail but the one that works out will usually earn more than enough to cover the losses of the other 4. Be prepared to continue to keep trying for passive income amongst the failures as you use your entrepreneurial spirit to twist all business ventures into possibilities for passive income. If there’s no chance of an idea turning into any long term passive income you don’t want to spend time on it. Yes you still have to put rice on the table but it’s about perspective and priorities. Always choose to put time and energy now (at the expense of money earned by the hour) into the chance of long term passive income flows later. Just my 2 cents but I speak to you from the other side of the matrix and we have unplugged ;) So much luck to you guys! Will keep following your awesome adventures!

Glad you enjoyed the book :) We're definitely further along than the book leads on, a lot of it is obviously aimed at those wanting to take those first steps so we didn't really push to far on with it beyond earning those first dollars. In saying that, we're obviously not 5 years in so our passive income streams are only a handful and havent been nurtured for as long as you guys. Absolutely is the goal and has been a priority from the start, ha, the book alone is one of those streams now so you can see our forward planning already ☺️ Happy to hear you guys are doing great and killing it, making the life style and life you want 🤘🏼Congrats on that. Random Q - how many GB RAM do you both have on your laptops? I have 32 on my desktop and it's a beast but obviously not mobile and the laptop version with 32GB is quite a bit more expensive hoping to land on 16GB and be able to run Lightroom and Premiere Pro
We've both got 16gb, 3 or so years down the line we're kind of wishing we got 32gb because theyre not upgradeable. In saying that, design apps for Stace and Final Cut for me and 95% of the time we're all good
From a glance I'd say there is definitely a lot less than CM or KL, it's a bit more of a younger crowd I'd say. CM and KL are definitely cheaper options.
