- Guitar cover of James' parts in "Eye of the Beholder" from the album ...And Justice for Jason.
Gear used:
-Epiphone 1984 EX reissue / "EET FUK" ESP clone
-Crate Blue Voodoo 6212 through a Marshall 4x12
-mic'd with a Sure SM58
Guitar track has minor eq only. It's all amp and cabinet.
**EDIT***
I'm not sure what caused the guitar track drop outs at the end of the song. I didn't notice this during editing.
dat tone tho
+beastlysk8r22 I was pretty blown away by it myself. I recently traded my Marshall Valvestate head for this Crate 2x12 tube combo, and the crunch just kills through the Marshall cabinet.
Finally someone who can play the intro correctly well done man
Thank you for noticing that! \m/
It bugs me that everyone else goes back to that chord on the 2nd and 5th fret too after the first time around haha. Awesome cover man, and nice guitar!
Joe Newman I did that for the longest till my ear caught that eventually
really enjoyed watching it! Good job!
Thank you!
Cheers from a fellow Hoosier keep up the good work
@socialgarbage2 I just wanted to tell you great job on the cover man! I was impressed!
Thank you very much for watching! \m/
EET FUK
muy buen cover, yo también tengo algunos covers agradecería que los vieras saludos de México
cool
Hey man! I’m planning to mod my EX 1984 Into a EET FUK copy too! Are those inlays decals ?
Yes they are. Got them from Jockomo online.
Guitar must be lower!!!
Fuck off Sergei, theres no rules.
tabs?
How did you make the headstock logo look like an esp
+Joaquin Velazquez I painted the headstock white, purchased an ESP water slide decal on ebay, applied it, and then clear coated the headstock. When I purchased the guitar, the original owner had done the same thing, only he had painted it black and applied a Gibson decal on it! lol The original Epiphone logo and serial number are still on the back side of the headstock. I took plenty of pictures, and video of the process and had considered making a video of it.
+socialgarbage2 thats really cool how ling did the headstock take? And did you make it even more like the original and put a emg 60 in the neck?
Not yet, but I am planning on putting one in it. The headstock took two and a half weeks to do.
+socialgarbage2 the emg should be solderless where you dont need to go into the cavity and what about the EET FUK and the inlays how did you do those?
That will really make that job easier!
The EET FUK decal came from the UK, I found a place online that sold them, and the inlays are decals from Jockomo in Japan. They make great inlay decal sets that cover most of James' guitars. If you browse some of my other videos, you'll see some various inlay decals from them on some of my other guitars as well.
Hey my name is Richard I just saw your video and we look alike it's like your my twin and we both like metallica
