Been coming back to this, every once in a while, specially now in such circumstances, this video and infact the start of this channel was criminally underrated, jethro and henry both were an absolute delight to watch, nonetheless, this is still my favourite Drivetirbe video of all time and henry catchpole at its best🙏
You know this content is seriously good when practically 90% of the comments are about jethro/Henry an the camera work etc rather than the car.. keep up the good work
Freedom. I can imagine no better way to spend time than on a pass like that in a car so wonderful. You chaps capture and convey the foundation of what we love about cars. Not just the engineering, the speed, or the luxury, but the experience. How it feels. That is why you drop the top in the freezing cold. It is because you are in love with the experience. Thank you for taking the time to remind your viewers of this fact with such grace. This is the content missing in car related media today, and we will come back for more.
Chao because it's like a week old... I think this channel was made by TGT crew for real car enthusiasts so there is less humor and scripted stuff and more about cars
Driving with roof down with clear sky up and letting the chilly wind pass your ears which are busy with the symphony of v10.....I mean what else life can be.....👍🏻
The Anime Effect i know right?! Its just amazing , this channel, the lovechild of hammond may and clarkson, so everything on it must be top of the bill, in reviewing,edition,scenery...they have acces to big resources, and the best in the world in car journalism
My morning starts at 5 am and when I put your videos on my tv I instantly feel awake and excited to start my day. When I'm leaving for work I go to the garage and get in my Cayman and on my drive to work I, for a moment feel like I'm there. Thank you, amazing videos.
I just want to say this is one of my favorite videos, watched it like 15 times... drivetribe should make more videos like this. I actually went to Austria in june this year because of this video.. I have do say though, the Hahntennjoch was a little disappointing, it's very narrow on many places and you have huge drops so you're basically on the brakes to hole time when you're going downhill, I prefer more open roads, still with lots of turns of course. This was also in the summer so much more traffic and bikes to lookout for. I did this in an f80 M3... overall I had one of my best driving experience in my life, you can find some amazing roads in Austria/Switzerland, and with the m3.. a dream :)
I watch different YT car channels but every now and then I return… I return to this one. My favorite YT car material. In a just fee minutes we are being served a dish that is a cuisine that represents all what car enthusiasts care about. Passion for vehicles, passion for roads, passion for driving.
Excellent video. I wish that more car shows were like this: no challenges, scripted gags, forced humour etc. Just a driver, a car and an unbelievably good road. Henry Catchpole is the man.
If this were any more poetic, I would cry. And I have cried only once in the last 30 years. Mr. Catchpole, you, whoever did the video and the photography, and the director deserve an Oscar for this!! this is amazing even by your admittedly high standards. Bravo!!!
This has to be the most beautiful and inspiring driving video I've ever seen. I just drove half the day yesterday through the southern Appalachian's and now I can't help but want to get back in my car and go again..
Spectacular Henry Catchpole. Sums up everything I love about cars, driving, writing, and cinematography. DRIVETRIBE are absolutely killing it for automotive content. And long may it continue.
I've lost track of how many times I've watched this. Beautifully written, beautifully shot, these films stand tall against so much other motoring content. Would love to see more editorial on these breathtaking driving routes!
One of the finest clips I've watched on YT all year. Leaving the final bit unnarrated and allowing us to appreciate the sights and sounds fully was a nice touch. Job done.
This is such a timely video. I just made a 2200 mile road trip across the US hitting 3 mountain passes, the first time I have ever driven across a mountain pass and my God is it beautiful. No cars, breathtaking views, amazing roads, huge variations in weather and different sights. It was amazing. I'm hooked
Henry Catchpole is easily one of the most interesting and lyrical automotive journalists out there,, whether in print or on video, and this video was stupendous, also thanks to Sam Riley. It illustrates the joy of driving so well, and why we do what we do. I thank you for your mastery.
Man that was beautiful. I like to see cars getting "thrown" in some twisties and all but the cinematics and the script with your (thankfully) calm voice made me enjoy every bit of this. keep it up Mr. Catchpole
Outstanding footage! I absolutely enjoy these videos that just encapsulate the raw beauty of driving supercars on such roads.. No need for celebrity brain crash or other pathetic sketches we saw on the Grand Tour. I would love to see more videos like these!
The way Henry Catchpole videos end is like watching the end of your favorite tv series or a great film, but you know you'll see him again so all is well. Great video 👏🏽
This,
This is beautiful,
This is something to live for,
This is.
Aishwarya Gaidhane I couldn't have said it better
You took the words out of my mouth. No need to post a duplicated comment. Cheers.
i love looking at the comments and finding someone is thinking exactly what you are
Praying the autonomous movement, greedy tech corporations and ever increasingly suppressive govs won't succeed in taking this from our lives and our culture.
Cringe level: over 9000
Couldn't ask for a better pair then Henry and jethro
This video is why we all Love DriveTribe! Such a great piece!
It's absolutely identical to what EVO would have done with Henry.....I'm sure they are beyond sad that he left. So amazing.
I'd watch Henry Catchpole over any of the Top Gear or Grand Tour hosts. So happy DRIVETRIBE puts him in front of the camera so often!
I think thats what Clarkson May and Hammond are trying to achieve with drivetribe, finding and discovering the next generation of great hosts
WHY THE FUCK DO YOU COMPARE a tour show with good humour with subtle car reviews as 10 minutes long they are both great in their own way
go watch petrolicous on youtube and this channel aint shit if you wanna compare sensible car reviews
+Antenox You're on a another level of stupid, you know that?
M. IJLAL Petrolicious is junk cars with poetry and used car salesmen trying to tell you how great this "Fiat" is.
One of my favorite roads! drove it so many times last summer and it always excited me.
Cars with Luke what's the lesser known pass he mentioned called? Thanks
Tee Bee Namlostal is its name. Its no Pass in the proper sense.
Carpassionist1 thanks!

I couldn't agree more. I drove it 2 years ago in my S15, it really is the best pass i've driven so far.
The power of Henry Catchpole’s descriptions are superlative. What an articulate person!
Holy shit! This dude can make a story about him brushing his teeth in the morning sound artistic, professional and interesting.
Beautiful scenery and roads
One of the most underrated automotive videos on here. Goose bumps amazing!!

the cinematography is just stunning, way better than TGT's futuristic shit! why hasn't this channel blown up yet seriously?
Chao because it's like a week old... I think this channel was made by TGT crew for real car enthusiasts so there is less humor and scripted stuff and more about cars
martin srabotnik technically it's about 3 months old, but the first real videos came a few weeks ago
Masterpiece. Still watching this one in 2019.

My god. The cinematography on this is absolutely beautiful

This may just be my favorite video on UA-cam. So breathtakingly well done.. Please more of this Henry!
Who knew motoring journalism could sound like a love poem? Beautiful.
I absolutely love it. Scenery, editing, drivingskills and storytelling... just perfect.
If this were any more poetic, I would cry. And I have cried only once in the last 30 years. Mr. Catchpole, you, whoever did the video and the photography, and the director deserve an Oscar for this!! this is amazing even by your admittedly high standards. Bravo!!!
What a video...what a pass...spine tingling
What a beautifully filmed piece. Bravo to the chaps behind this. It truly is inspirational as an amateur film maker.
Pure poetry...
This has to be the most beautiful and inspiring driving video I've ever seen. I just drove half the day yesterday through the southern Appalachian's and now I can't help but want to get back in my car and go again..

This is fast becoming my favourite Car Show on UA-cam and possibly in general.
Keep it up Drivetribe, this is brilliance.
Somehow for me this is what live is all about... you inspire my day with this video.
Henry Catchpole is easily one of the most interesting and lyrical automotive journalists out there,, whether in print or on video, and this video was stupendous, also thanks to Sam Riley. It illustrates the joy of driving so well, and why we do what we do. I thank you for your mastery.
