if im not mistaken republic tech is more antiquated compared to imperial tech. With imperials having higher powered turbolasers and better shielding/armor. The republic was known to have a deficient navy. Especially when compared to the seps. With republic strength showing in ground battle but sep strength in naval engagements. The thing that really carried the republic were it's strike craft, which they probably field older but way more and slightly better variants than the imperial strike craft. With the exception of possibly the interceptor type. Never heard of a servator class before, but i know a tector battlecruiser would have probably really beat the crap out of the republic ships. Especially with a good pd or strike craft capable escort.
Servator and Valiant are fanmade ships, and they are not created to serve the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars, but Republic Hardliners during the Galactic Civil War. The idea with this faction is that not all the Republic is transformed into the Empire, and they have the ability to create new ships. Valiant, for example, has some special multi-role starfighters, and is designed to fight 1 vs 1 with ISD II in Remake Mod + Clone Wars Holdout Factions submod.
The first part of the video is with default ISDs from Remake and the second is with FFT submod. The ISDs in the second part of the video have extra guns
Nothing to think about, if there were no smoke and fire you wouldn't know when a ship is destroyed or damaged. The game is not made to be realistic. If realism was something important, then it was a silent game, because in space you have no sound.

Damn. The Republic Servator is one I've been meaning to overhaul. It really underperformed. Needs a buff. I'll probably work on that this weekend.

I've done a few in the past, but the larger Dreadnoughts cause a lot of lag for my PC
