Falcon coupe, A9X, L34, HQ coupes and a couple of early ones, an FJ, various EH's, Charger, the variety is amazing compared to even ten years later. This to me is the tail end of the golden age of Stockcars. Remnants of the Rowley Park days. Brilliant.
oz 2strokeman - Aren't you right, though? I just have to agree, 110% with you, it was right about this time for me, I grew up in Sydney, that I started to make Speedway a weekly thing for me. I was in my 2nd yr at High School, and we had 3 Speedways in Sydney at the time to choose from, the closest one to me was the old Liverpool City Raceway, you also had the soon to be history Paramatta, and the already history, the grand old girl, the Sydney Showground Speedway, walking distance from Kings Cross, and PLENTY to keep a young bloke "occupide" with, after a nights racing was over!! Ahh, those were the days, I used to watch Men like Gry Rush at Paramatta on a Friday, and they'd run, usually a full card of Sedans and of corse the "Stock Saloons" they call them at Liverpool, but for some reason, they were "fender benders" at Paramatta. Oh well, all good thing come to an end, I suppose, and soon enough, there will be no moore Speedway in Sydney, well, they say they'll build one out at Eastern Creek, but I don't know if their nieghbors, the Dragway, will appreciate having all that dust get on their prescious Drag Strip. And I don't know how they'll make the place pay, because they say there only building to a capacity of 7 thousand, where the one that's being replaced seats 15 thousand, and on a average Saturday night, they'd pull 7-8 thousand now, and you don't get much change from $50 as it is. What's an average bloke, his Wife, and 2 kid's going to be at the gate? They'll HAVE to charge north of $100 to make it work, just the 2 adults!! I don't see a bright future in Sydney, for Speedway, anymore. Sorry. Rant over.
Capitl city speedways?? Adelaide? No. Sydney? No. Brisbane? No, Canberra? No. Leaving Melbourne, Darwin and Perth with them. And Hobart has one near Hobart,

Garry Crash wins a B grade race!

Russ Carlin in a Supermod, not a Sprinter.
Benneches crash in the Torana killed the car.
