This is amazing thank you sir my wife’s vue just went down and I just had a mechanic come look at it today and he told me it’s the starter now I can go by on and replace it.
Mine has a no start, no crank. battery is good...I am thinking Engine Control Module / relay or something with fuse? Replacing the ECM looks easy, but I dont think it needs reprogrammed. I dont have a computer for that.. I thought maybe it could be the starter, is there a way to check the starter without pulling it and putting a new one in? before I fuck around with replacing the EDM, I should at least check the starter
@@HavocSun Thank you, I just checked what you said. I had voltage to the starter. so I am going to pull the starter and bench test it. Thank you for the help.
I've got a 2008 Saturn Vue xe. The car won't start but everything in the car turns on, the radio, headlights, etc. Any ideas of the reason. We used a car reader and it won't give a code saying what the problem is when we plug it in. When I turn the key there is a clicking sound from the fuse box inside the car by the passenger floor and from under the hood. But after trying to start the car again it doesn't make the clicking noise but everything still turns on except the car won't start.
@@HavocSun thanks for the reply! We tried that and it didn't work. I just went out to start it again and it fired right up. I let it run for about 3 minutes and turned the car off then tried to turn it back on and it wouldn't start. But everything else still works inside.
@@satinsmirage9901 it's definitely the starter. That's how they go bad. It's called intermittent. And a bad starter will become intermittent, start sometimes but not others. You need to replace it.
@@HavocSun Soo I got it replaced and BOOM!! We're back in action!! Thank you kindly sir your the best!! It was the original part on there so I guess I can't complain about it 🤣😂😂
I wouldn't be shaking my car around on jack stands because of your car does slip that jack stand can cause some serious damage. Not warning you, just any of the millions of people that might happen upon your channel that don't know more than what you've told them.

Thanks for the vid, was helpful. Entertaining, too!
Thank you for reminding me these refurbished starters have lifetime warranties
I bought a battery believing that my Vue didn't start due to the old batt, but I was wrong. Now I have to get the starter 😢

Apply direct voltage (+ side) to the starter, if nothing happens thats your problem.

Have someone go under the car & tap on the starter while your trying to start it. It sounds like your starter has failed.
