    What beauty. To see Levinas talking about Blanchot is almost as beautiful as if Levinas could have forgiven Heidegger... Who could ever have imagined Levinas and Blanchot as complementary? Levinas is, in many ways, "soft", "comforting". Sweet even. Blanchot is the absolute problem. Trouble. A haunt. A bloodshot eye amongst white ones, he does nothing to soften the blows of the reality which swallows us whole.

    Interesting. He talks of Blanchot as if the man was dead (which he wasn't at the time). A mystery.

      He was very old and reclusive. He talks about the young man, in the past, I think.
