I, as a trucker, would be ok with a propane fuel truck. I would not be okay with hydrogen. The pressure required for enough BTU'S to get down the road would be nearly suicidal. I'll pass.
Hyliion is in a position...where if their Hypertruck ERX product is effective..Trucking firms should be ordering the heck out of it. Negative net carbon when used with RNG should certainly qualify for credits. I think most think it's gonna work but have doubts about Hyliion's ability to produce the thousands of units that will be demanded. The solution is elegant as hell. Cummins is going to make more money when an ERX is sold compared to a traditional diesel.
Very informative discussion. I guess we are going to see lots of new BEV trucks on the road pretty soon. I wonder about who is going to pay for all of the charging infrastrucure that will be incrediby expensive. And who is going to pay to beef up the grid?
Great interview. Thank you for this.
Amazing how Hyliion fits so seamlessly. And here we go with hydrogen always seems to be just 10 more years away so they say
Always a great interview
