Damn the comments are going hard… they enjoy singing along, that is a form of appreciation too, yes the emphasis on high notes when the EXOs can do so more vocally, can be a bit cringe but they did talk about others aspects of Kyungsoo’s vocals in this video. And it’s okay if they are super into Chen right now, we all have that phase of focusing on one member initially. They also talk about how it’s a crime they haven’t had more exposure to Suho’s music and singing yet and ask for reccs (I love Dinner btw, and everything from his solo album honestly! Never anticipated he’d go rockstar direction). It’s okay if people want to unsubscribe but some of these comments are doing exactly what they’re against, focusing on just one thing and not noticing the praise they had for other members. People are rediscovering EXO, let’s not scare them away.

I think most of the comments here are given in a respectful manner and have valid points. Criticising their reaction video doesn’t equate to being hard/ being too harsh/ bullying. Nobody has a problem if they bias Chen and mention him all the time, but there is a timely way to do that - i.e. not while another person is singing and they completely miss entire verses and end up not listening at all. That is disrespectful. It’s totally okay to pause the video and talk about Chen, or give comments before or after the video if they want to make comparisons with vocal techniques, etc. But constantly bringing up Chen high notes while another artist is singing???THE MOST IRONIC PART OF THIS is that Chen himself said he doesn’t want to be known as just that guy that sings high notes. Cos it is easy for him. And they know that’s not what makes a great singer. You can check it yourself, he said that in Chen FM video on Exo yt channel. And all the members there immediately reassured him that no, no one thinks he’s only good at high notes.
That was well said. Say it loud. Fact is, they really did ruin a beautiful song.
With all due respect, don't react to Exo if you don't respect music in general or can't give each member their due credit. It's not just this video but in various of your Exo reaction videos I've noticed you guys going off about "high note" rant especially when it concerns Chen.
Good vocalist don't only know only about high notes. If that was the case than many amazing rap oriented groups like BTS, Big Bang, Stray Kids could also be considered great vocalists cause they can also hit high notes. Being a great vocalist requires a singer to keep the perfect pitch, being able to harmonize no matter how different the voice tone is, able to utilize both higher and lower register according to the song's need, the layerings in the song and the rifts/runs.
All Exo members are known for their amazing vocal techniques and besides that excels in one individual techniques that others in kpop can't cover. Chen's high notes AND lower notes, Baekhyun's falsettos, D.O.'s rifts/runs, Suho's adaptability, Xiumin's whistle notes, Lay's clearance, etc. No one in 3rd, 4th and 5th generation can go to that caliber. Which is exactly why I'd recommend to be open minded about music when reacting, otherwise its better to not react to the content that would disappoint your audience.

This reaction wasn't it, guys. I was really uncomfortable watching it. It didn't seem like you enjoy it at all, almost like you don't care. So why bother? I really enjoyed your first EXO reactions, but recently not anymore. And this saga with high notes in every reaction isn't funny at all. It's really not nice looking from viewers perspective. Sorry.

Exactly. I do like that left guy without glasses cause at least he's trying but the one with glasses really takes the conversation to "that point" always. I enjoyed their reacting in starting cause I thought maybe its because they don't know Exo so they don't know about other musical approaches in general. Its been a while since they started reacting to Exo and they still can't move on from "high notes".

If I remember correctly, EXO-Ls were warned in some reaction videos not to expect continuous high notes because not all of EXO's songs have the high notes they expect.

You cant be focusing on one member of the group or youll be totally side swiped by the others. In Exo everyone is an amazing singer not just with high notes but with just pure talent. Like someone said before each member could be a main vocalist if placed in another group. Please dont overlook them just because they arent singing in the rafters every video. Chen is not the only member of exo (even though hes my bias wrecker)

Yeah, I noticed that too since the 1st reaction to EXO. Kept telling that high note isn’t everything, but sadly they keep telling “expect high notes”
I've been saying this since so many reactions of theirs. They really don't appreciate musical techniques in general and just training to act like they know about music. They don't even pretend to give each member their due credit. Their obsession with "high notes" is laughable and makes them look like kids.

The comments wow! Anyway, I will say that I am not surprised. Since the battle they had on here a while back I noticed that they don’t really vibe with EXO as I don’t think they ever gave EXO their vote. At least not a winning one. Anyway, I suggest you watch DG Reacts or Neon Reactions with Pierre. They really get into the music and give amazing and respectful reactions.
Agree with you. I've noticed it since battle days after that I still gave them a chance thinking they're getting into it and finally knowing that there's more to vocals. However these last 5-6 reactions except Paper Cut have been bummer with them continuously ranting about high notes and talking over all stuff and trying their own notes over the song which is annoying. The guy with glasses especially always interrupts and acts like he knows about vocal techniques.
I watched the battle and was sad that EXO was rarely their choice but then I thought maybe with time they will see what we see and first reactions were quite good but I don't know what happened recently.
I agree with you. I also noticed how they dont really like EXO compared to the other groups during their battle content. The fans have been supportive towards their journey with EXO but this time its not really tolerable. The one with glasses is really annoying too. Talking like he is all that.
I'm a Pierre audience too! I like his reaction, always detailed to discuss vocals and instruments. And also even tho he is Kyungsoo biased, but he respects all EXO members and never compare each other.

Agreed. I was super hyped when i saw the reaction to this live performance, and since I loved their reaction to Papercuts, I was like, oh this gonna be good. IDK, i was kinda disappointed this time. I don't mind when they get into it, but I found myself enjoying this a lot less than anticipated. Still, looking forward to the next. Hope this was simply a fluke.
On a kinder note, this song is really amazing and I like that they appreciated Baek's piano skills. I kinda thought it was funny they assumed Chen would be the third, which is fair, cuz it usually is, but Suho is overlooked a lot. He could totally be a main vocal and I think it was a good choice to put him on this song. These are the same three that sang Baby Don't Cry with Chanyeol doing his rap thing in the middle. Both amazing tracks.

Hi guys, i'm not used to comment like this...with all the respect, EXO is very well known for the vocals, and not necessarily for the HIGH NOTES, because this thought make your reaction be biaised for only Chen and Baekhyun, and it's not really fair for the rest of the group. Good singing, singing in harmony, nice rap, good choreo, these are all the things that make EXO one of the best, EXO as a whole! These reactions seem not genuine and you are only expecting some crazy screaming sounds to think that there is a good singing, it's kinda sad, because i used to love your reactions.🙁

Chen is my bias. Other comments to this reaction remind me of the Chen FM promo for his Last Scene album, when he said his solo work will be mostly ballads because he does not want to be labeled as just a high note guy. (The other members then teased him basically saying that was his job.) And since then he's made strides in being recognized for everything else his vocals can do. Truly respectfully, that's the main reason I wince sometimes when his high notes seem to become the main focus. Baekhyun's reaction videos, too, actually. A lot of people can hit that note, but not many have the power, precision and control when they are up there. Both of their voices do so much more. I think it's great how you dote on him. But the other members D.O. (my first bias), Baek, Suho, Chanyeol, etc. ... they have all wrecked me with their artistry. So, I kindly suggest a little more balance. I also appreciate that when you do talk or sing over the singing you rewind it back for a proper reaction. Thank you for that. We appreciate you recognizing how badass EXO is. Thank you again. 🙂

You say that we have no consideration for you being new "EXO fans" but tbh even when I had freshly gotten into EXO, I had a bias. I had a favorite vocalist. Immediately. But since the first second that I got into them I still appreciated every other member because god these men are one of the best vocalists in the world for sure! But you wouldn't be able to judge that - because for you it's apparently only about high notes lol. So my point is: from the beginning, even though I had a fav main vocalist, I still felt like he isn't any better than the other main vocalists. In EXO they are about on the same level, but each brings something different to the table. But they all are versatile and masters of vocals, whatever you wish from them they can give it you. All of them. It's just my personal preference that I like one of them the best, but in my eyes he isn't better than the others. And it's not about a certain skill that he has, but more about his vocal tone. Because when it comes to skill - they all have it. So if you can't see that, you should stop reacting to EXO. Chen being your bias solely because of high notes isn't it. And expecting the same thing over and over again is not it

Thank you. They're always trying to bring in their own high notes especially with them not being in the same pitch or on the right note and also straining. Not to mention they do this when the members themselves are doing the notes, they don't even rewind the part and sometimes do not even bother to pause. It's so annoying to see this in every video these days.

Considering that they are performing for a concert, it is just normal to have songs without too much high notes as it will be hard for them to last 2-3 hrs singing (not to even mention that they are dancing).
It's also a common knowledge for EXO-Ls that EXO has variety of genres and is very experimental. They are not only known for the high notes but for releasing quality music and performance.

Wildly disrespectful and very disappointing for those of us who appreciate EXO for the full range of their vocal abilities. Chen is an exceptional technical vocalist with a beautifully developed lower register, solid agility, strong intonation and some of the most striking dynamics you'll hear in kpop-he is the best vocalist in EXO, but only by a little. Comments are saying that high notes theme is in the other groups reactions too. So maybe then they should do only reactions to such types of songs. Also I understand that everyone has a bias, but if you can't react to a song without him in it, then maybe don't. My ult bias is Baekhyun for 10 years, but I'm an exo-l from late 2013 and love them all dearly. Expecting notes like Chen's or Baekhyun's in every song you react and disrespecting everything and everyone during watching is not a way many people would enjoy.

Ah, thank God because I read the comments first. So I didn't watch this reaction because it would be disappointing. I've noticed several times that they always look forward to the high notes in every EXO song and it's really annoying and they don't appreciate every verse of the song. EXO's songs are not 100% high notes, and there are not always high notes. Each member has their own uniqueness and you have to appreciate them because they can give life to every song. If the high notes are always the highlight, I really don't recommend you to react even to Chen's solos, Chen's solos even have more low notes. Please appreciate every EXO song. EXO's songs are good because each member has their own uniqueness. So please stop waiting for the high notes in everything about EXO or solo members

I’m sorry I’m a Baekhyun bias and Chen is usually my wrecker but I couldn’t finish watching this reaction. It’s your channel so I understand these may be your true reactions and I’ve looked past other of your EXO videos and just thought “well I’m glad they are giving such love to Chen and Baek. God knows they are incredibly talented and it is well deserved” I’m not sure what about this video made me want to comment but I guess it was the feeling that Kyungsoo and Suho were being super disrespected even though I know in other videos you have both praised them. In fact, it seems like you were disappointed because this was sung without Chen, and didn't appreciate Suho at all. EXO songs that are not even sung by the main vocalist, such as Twenty Four (from the Winter album, For Life), which are only sung by rappers and sub-rappers: Chanyeol, Sehun, Kai, and Xiumin, still sound very amazing and deserve to be appreciated.

I had subscribed to your channel cuz you actually seemed to enjoy the groups I love, but your complete lack of interest unless the song has high notes is ridiculous & seems to be getting worse, there's way more to good singing than high notes, high notes are actually an easy thing for trained vocalists like this, stable live vocals or being emotive while singing like this are much harder to come by, your favoritism with the members is way too obvious & disrespectful to the other members' talents, but I've noticed you do that with every group you react to, it's just as bad with Seventeen, you completely overlook most of the members cuz they don't do high notes, when especially given the different vocal ranges of each member is ridiculous

Honestly, I really enjoy your content since the idol battle. It feels exciting and fresh. You guys consider the assessment from various aspects, I like it.
I also really like Chen's voice, really like it. However, comparing Chen with other members is quite bad. I am well aware, You must be aware that each member in a group has a different vocal color and range.
I'm quite disappointed with your "slightly" disappointed reactions because there's no Chen and his high notes in EXO's songs. EXO isn't just Chen. If Chen is your main bias, I think you guys are more suited to listening to Chen's solo songs, not EXO's songs.
Yes, you are new to EXO, so there needs to be some understanding. However, we are here to help you to love and accept all EXO members, without exception. To make your journey to know EXO more enjoyable, we try to break your expectations by not always expecting high notes in every EXO song. EXO is not about high notes. EXO is a group of nine members who have their own singing techniques.

I understand that you are fans of Chen's voice and love the high notes but if Chen is not there it does not mean that the performance is low level or boring so please make sure to listen carefully in the other songs

I hope everyone who reads my comment doesn't offend them, they are newbies to K-pop, and if you notice all their reactions only to the high notes of each group, they are not vocal coaches, so it's okay
They're not vocal coaches so they do not have to act like one also. That guy in the glasses continuously like he knows all musical terms. We as fans also don't know all musical approaches but like any common human we know there's more to music than just high notes. Not to mention the fans aren't angry with them because of their high note rants alone but about disrespecting other members if they're not Chen or Baekhyun.
@@meaad-l I think that's the problem actually, they talk about vocals like they think they are knowledgeable, but they are obviously not, only ppl that don't know how much easier it is to train to do high notes than to have consistent & stable live vocals, especially if choreo is involved, or be emotive when singing or even singing softly while still maintaining airflow or lower notes are way harder, it's just hard to see their obvious favoritism with the belters, but they do that with every group they react to and after a several months it's just become unbearable to watch since they seem to only care about parts of songs, not the actual music or seem to care about the lyrics at all, & do guides, but don't care about the members personalities at all, I don't see the point in watching them anymore
@@Tooba-K123 I also felt so angry when they did that but it took a wrong turn with the comments that seemed like they were bullying them, I felt sad for them, we are known for being peaceful and get angry when our members are insulted but we don't bully them, we just have to report the clip so it gets banned and we unsubscribe then they will learn from their mistake☺️
@@ladymidnight8136 I really agree with you, they really don't know anything at all, but in the end we won't let them know about EXO's amazing performance and their amazing voices, so we just have to report the clip and unsubscribe, most of their subscribers are EXO-Ls, they even cut EXO's clips and put them on their site for money so we subscribe, they are tasting the price of their insults to the members silently without us bullying them
It's really not okay. They don't need to be vocal coaches to appreciate the performance. They went paying attention at all, not noticing almost anything, it easy could be any other song. They were trying to be "funny" and "not boring". What's the point in reaction? And no one is bullying them, people just expressing their disappointment and had enough. Too much is too much.

You know what? every single day I go check YT and see if you guys uploaded a new reaction video of EXO, I always get excited watching you appreciating EXO's talent but this is the first time I get disappointed and perhaps got annoyed as it seems like you didn't really enjoy the performance because it didn't have high notes? as if you don't appreciate other members and only wanting to see or hear high notes from Chen or Baekhyun. Don't get me wrong, us EXO-Ls have our bias or favorites but that doesn't mean we don't appreciate other members, having a bias is normal but we support and love them equally. It's just disheartening to see as it felt like the other members are being disrespected. I get it though, it's your channel, it's your opinion, you are free to say or react however you want and we are your subscribers/viewers, we just do the same. Please understand what EXO-Ls are feeling about this reaction video and don't take it to heart, one thing you need to know is that EXO-Ls are very loyal, we don't want to see people disrespecting them or members being left behind, we love them all equally and we will always protect them. Don't let this comment section stop you from learning more about EXO and hoping you appreciate them more, not just the high notes but as equally talented artists.
Exo is not all about highnotes.They have beautiful songs.I usually prefer their ballad,R&B and soulfull songs.My first introduction to kpop was through other kpop group few years ago.That time i only knew exo monster and loveshot.I first discovered them through killing voice there after iam totally into their songs.Chen is my ult bias.But i listen to all other members solos as well.They have their diversity in their solos.In exo you dont feel laking.I seen you guys you prefer only highnotes.
Please appreciate them and try to listen to their besides songs.Take criticism positively. 🙏

Smell nonsense? Have you seen the full reaction? Do you think it's funny or tasteful to go in to see a reaction to a ballad and find that neither you nor they hear their voices because one of them is screaming over it? It's one thing to stop the video if you want to try to make a note (which is also irrelevant unless you're a professional singer) to watch the video and then react but the whole video talking and screaming over them, it's not being exotic or it's not respect so much to the group that you are supposedly listening to as the people who come to see your reaction...

I feel bad that you had some harsh comments but even I thought the singing was a bit too much and it was kind of annoying and maybe a little disrespectful? Maybe if you watch your own video again, you’ll see it too?
