2024 CFMOTO 450MT Review | Is this CFMOTO’s magnum opus?

- The CFMOTO 450MT arrives on Australian shores with a bargain price tag of just $9490 ride away.
Competing with the similarly priced Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, the 450MT is proving to be a big seller for the quickly growing CFMOTO brand.
It is powered by a 449cc parallel-twin motor and features fully adjustable KYB suspension, plus many components designed to improve off-road use.
But how good is the 450MT really? Does it serve its purpose as a rugged and capable dual-sport adventure bike? We headed towards Lake Eildon to see what it’s all about. Ahh, the serenity.

Hi Bikesales. Aussie 450MT owner here. The rear wheel is 18 inches, not 17. You're welcome.
Hey Hvntr, yep, unfortunately we stated the wrong number and published the video before we realized the mistake! Technology, huh? However, you can find all the correct specs in the full review at bikesales.com.au.
I wish the 450mt was in the USA already. I'm looking at used bikes because the only way for me to afford a bike this good is to build it myself.
Potential bikesales bike of the year. Loving mine✌🏽 21inch front, 18inch rear
This bike is everyone's dream bike now. The real question is, why didn't Kawasaki make a KLR500 twin cylinder, or Honda make an XL350 twin? Why didn't Suzuki make a DRZ400 twin?
Why did Japan insist on giving people horrendously boring "single cylinder" enduros and trail bikes, whilst putting titanium valves, 4 cylinders and 197 horsepower in their flagship streetbikes?
People have been wanting something new and different---something that actually sounds good when you revv it up. FINALLY CF Moto did it!
@@starseeddeluxe If they do make a twin cylinder ADV, they'll probably just use the same 180° crank engine
@@ShinzouWoSateSateSatewhat?
@@MudaholicJR i mean those dull-sounding twins from the Ninja 500 and CBR500R, as compared to CFMotos 449 with 270° crankshaft that make it sound bigger than its actual displacement
AU $8346 here in the Philippines - noice 👍
It seems like this bike is going to give cfmoto an opportunity to be the next Gas Gas
here in bosnia price is 6k pretty cheap
Its about the same price, AU dollar is lot less then US dollar, little more then 60 euro cent or so.
Can we just stop talking about the tyres on a bike...unless you cannot ever change the tyre to your own desires, stop talking about the bikes tyres off road.
gives me the shits when people complain about something that's going to be replaced anyway.
As someone new to motorbikes, and on a very limited budget, I want to know about any extra money I've got to spend 🤷
@@MrKdr500 See our repsonse to fanjan7527. A lot of people will want to know if the standard tyres are decent or not. Not everyone will want to (or can afford to) replace the tyres.
@@NoSecondSeason100% agree!
@fanjan7527 unfortunately replacing tyres costs money, and not everyone wants to fork out the extra $$$. And if the standard tyres are good, then why replace them? So, talking about the standard tyres is important!
The seat you have in video is a taller option, so seating is at 870 instead of 820 with basic seat.
Hi @rhumorsky4055, some of the units at the launch (which are seen in the video) were fitted with the taller seat, but we personally tested the version with the 820mm seat, which is the standard seat height.
About to take mine to the Simpson for 3 weeks!
Make sure you let us know how it goes!
@@bikesaleschannel It looks great! Crash bars, pannier racks, bash plate all arrived and equipped
When is the Kove 450 rally coming to Australia?
We have reached out to Kove asking this very question, but no answer just yet! Stay tuned!
Great review, do you have the GPX file for the track you rode? Cheers
You will have to jump on a tour with All In Dirtbike Adventures @mick7421 👌👌
@@SeasonalTherapy Cheers, pretty keen on that. 👍
Test rode one the other day clutch was not that great and the gears box was not going into gear could be a problem not sure i really like it but it put me off
Hey Dappa4608, we personally didn't experience any gearbox issues, but it's definitely an important factor!
@bikesaleschannel what did u think of the clutch? There was no play in the clutch it was coming on in the first couple of mm sorta didn't feel that good .
If you need ride modes with 44hp then your buying the wrong bike.....ffs.
No one is disagreeing with you mate - we are just stating the facts :)
