and again, such a wonderful video! i really appreciate all the time and effort you put into making it and the pdf too!! cant wait to learn more hehehe tusen takk 💖🥰
Takk fur den video, Jo! I’ve been living in Norway for the summer and studying Norwegian has been one of my favorite pastimes! Your videos are extremely engaging, fun and educational! I’ll keep learning your beautiful language even if I’ll never return to your amazing country! Takk skal du ha!
Interessant ord. Jeg bruker gjerne dette ordet for å synge ut en setning. De sier det gjerne i Danmark og Tyskland også! Finn gjerne flere slike gode ur-germanske ord. Jeg vil gjerne høre om dem :)
Takk for denne videoen!
Hopefully, I got most of that right.
I was wondering, do you have any recommendations for Norwegian speaking youtube channels to follow? Any personal favorites? They tend to be smaller in subscriber number so aren't easy to find in my experience :c
I know I'm soooo late to do this, but if you're still looking for Norwegian channels here on youtube, I can recommend these: Minas Habitat (she makes videos about gardening, plants and home-making, and she uploads regularly!) Filmfrosk (movie reviews! But also has some random other videos, I haven't watched all of them) Ingrid Bergtun (she makes (made) videos about sewing + other topics. But she hasn't uploaded in a long time tho) Pengesnakk (videos about investing, saving and making money, basically how to make smart financial decisions) I don't watch that many Norwegian youtubers but these are a handful that I'm able to mention right now! Good luck with your learning!^^
German and the nordic languages definitely have alot in common. There's this meme going around with "literal translations of Swedish animal names" like "turtle" actually being "shielded toad" in Swedish. And yeah a lot of those compund words are the exact same in German :p
Når man sier "det er gjerne (noe)" for å si at noe vanligvis skjer, hva er forskjellen mellom det og å bruke verbet "pleier". Eller er det det samme? Takk!
We don't really say "ja vær så snill". Vær så snill means "please" when asking for something, but we rarely attach it at the end of "yes" in order to be polite. While "Ja, vær så snill" sounds a bit awkward and strange, "ja, gjerne" sounds natural and makes sense :)
really love your videos. please dont stop making videos!!

Jeg snakker bittelitt tysk, ikke særlig mye! Men det er interessant å se hvor mange likheter som finnes!:)

I was wondering, do you have any recommendations for Norwegian speaking youtube channels to follow? Any personal favorites? They tend to be smaller in subscriber number so aren't easy to find in my experience :c
To clarify, they don't have to be "language learner channels". Just regular UA-cam channels to follow :)
@@Elusive_Chicken yaa i'd like to watch those as well
@@Elusive_Chicken : If you search for Norsklaerer Karense here on UA-cam, that is a great channel for language learners.
Great question! I’ll see if I can compile a list of a few I know about and share it here on UA-cam or on Instagram;)
I know I'm soooo late to do this, but if you're still looking for Norwegian channels here on youtube, I can recommend these:

This is super interesting! I think it's like German word "gerne". would like to, liking... can be used very differently depends on the sentence!
German and the nordic languages definitely have alot in common. There's this meme going around with "literal translations of Swedish animal names" like "turtle" actually being "shielded toad" in Swedish. And yeah a lot of those compund words are the exact same in German :p
A very interesting similarity! Links between Norwegian and German show up all the time🇩🇪🇳🇴

What breed is Your dog? Is it Buhund?
It's not my own dog but it's a siberian laika!

I try to stop being socially inappropriate but the problem is that I have no "gjerne".
what would be the difference between "Ja gjerne" vs "ja vær så snill"
We don't really say "ja vær så snill". Vær så snill means "please" when asking for something, but we rarely attach it at the end of "yes" in order to be polite. While "Ja, vær så snill" sounds a bit awkward and strange, "ja, gjerne" sounds natural and makes sense :)
