@@carado1984 pretty sure it depends on the load on the motor. When you’re sitting at a light they are open, then when you get up to speed just cruising they shut. Forgot what the mode is on the selector but you can keep them closed until you get into it I believe but who want that lol.
Keeping the valved exhaust is amazing. I have the Borla Atak valved because I like the sound of Borla on the Camaro. My buddy has the Corsa and people hate his car because of the exhaust, meanwhile I only get compliments of my exhaust. Side by side reviews from others when at a meet: Borla fits to how the car looks, Corsa sounds like a fart can Honda Civic with a V8, Borla is loud but a good type of loud, Corsa sounded like it was a straight pipe gone wrong. I don't mind either, but I love the Borla rumble over the Corsa unhinged sound.
I bought and absolutely love the Corsa NPP Exhaust. I can't comment on how it sounds on other vehicles. But with a proper cat-back setup on the 6.2L LT1 and it sounds incredible. I can only imagine how it sounds with some catless 2" AR Headers. It just screams, more of a super sports sound than a deep muscly sound you might get from a Borla, but it still has a great V8 sound. It does not have that high pitched tiny sound you get with smaller engines like the 5.0 mustang. It sounds great with the LT1. The main reason you'd buy it though, is the valved NPP system. Outside of the factory NPP it easily has the most noticeable difference between loud (open) and stealth (closed) with the NPP Valves. You can really hear the difference for yourself at 6:05. Systems like Borla and Stainless works, there isn't much of a difference between open and closed. A closed Borla or Stainless Works is still going to be pretty loud. But, with the Corsa System it is absolutely night and day. Open: it just screams like a banshee lit on fire and closed you can pull into your house at 2am without waking the wife and kids. Not to mention fly under the radar anytime you might need to, if you are in a state that doesn't like loud exhausts. Where I live any kind of modified exhaust is technically illegal and I've driven next to, behind and in front of plenty of Police with the valves closed and they could not care less. The difference between Open valves and Closed valves is that profound. The only thing someone might not like really, is that the factory tuning of the NPP system. For you see even in track mode the NPP system still closes the valves below 2,500rpm in gears 2 - 4 and closes the valves below 2,000rpm in 5 and 6. Or at least that is what I have found in my 2018 1LE (The 19+ NPP might be tuned differently). So cruising around in a low RPM the valves are going to be closed, EVEN in Track Mode. Sometimes if you're driving moderately with the valves closed and you give it the boot in the same gear the car will be almost silent until that LT1 reaches over 2,500rpm. So what I'm trying to get at, is if you're going to get this muffler system and tune it with HP Tuners, then get your tuner to modify the NPP functionality so that the valves are open ALL the time in Track Mode in gears 1-5 and probably best leave 6th gear as it for highway cruising. Also for anyone wanting to know, there is no drone in highway speeds. Like I said put it in 6th gear on the highway, the valves will close and it is almost silence cruising along at 1,500rpm. All you'll really hear is the road noise of your tires. But once you put the boot in, screams likes like Filipino bar girl being visited by Shaq after a bottle of Viagra.
Why you say that? Hemi motors sounds the same even longtubes hell you can keep the same stock exhaust and it sound the same but the 5.0 motor was designed differently
I am curious to how the drone is on this system. I have a '17 Camaro SS with Stainless Works catback system with valves. It sounds great, but it drons like crazy!
Once it was tuned and done i wish fran would do a run with the vakve closed to see if it makes a difference in power
Valves open under wide open throttle. I put the same set up on my ZL1 they did.

They’ve done this on an older video. The car made less power with the valves closed. It was about 40hp.

Restricting airflow means less power.

Is this the arh long system with corsa axle back then? My Zl1 came with stainless works axle back, do you know will that work with arh long system ?
Would high flow cats cut that rasp? Wondering if it would cut power as a bi product tho.

Had a corsa on my truck, it lasted less then a day before I took it off. Sounded like crap. Live and learn. Expensive doesn’t always mean better.
