Wow, great access. I'm glad you're showing the lay of the land. I've been summarily dismissed as a troll for trying to tell others that those are not roads but waterways. People who have never been in the bayou really have no idea what swamps are made of, lmao! Good job, Rain! Love to ya!
Good grief. Almighty Greed is the enemy, not the workers and those reporting on its effects. Hate solves nothing. Knowledge leads to answers. Your reporting, Rain, is priceless. I love how you focus on what truly matters.
Great reporting once again. Glad u spotted that gator. Hope he'll be healthy for years to come. There's still something not quite right - upright - w the living trees, but I'm pleased to see some green! The worker who drove u seemed like a nice guy. His voice it up when talking about the gators.
This was fascinating.. and it looks to me like a whole lot of work has gone into keeping this from escaping to the outer swamps. Good questions too.. and looks like you weren't going easy on him ;-)
LOL, Mark, I caught a lot of hate speech and hell for going on this tour. Was even accused of having made a deal with Texas Brine to do it. All I did was ask. Same thing anyone else could have done.
It is becoming increasingly difficult to find *any* current info about that sinkhole, and although I don't live anywhere nearby, I have, so to speak, "adopted" it as one of my own, concern-wise. Because of this I keep searching for any info ..other than the citizen's briefings , which I have found to be surprisingly uninformative, and, frankly somewhat dull. If I was able to glean any information from them perhaps I would feel otherwise, What I hope to find out is the current depth, slough in rate, expansion size, toxicity, current gas expulsion levels, and any other pertinant info. Don't get a bit from those briefings, although it may certainly be hidden in the briefings, 45 to 90 minutes of talk to find out one bit of data is just too much! But no flyovers, and those I do see are way too short to see all I would like... Anyone else having this difficulty, and know just how bad the situation is?
Hi truemoose53......sad thing is we can't live without them now. We are too spoiled. Wonder how many folks would be willing to give up all the conveniences we live with? Thank you for watching, and supporting!
Hey there maremuse! I only smelled the oil smell once, and strangely, it was when we were in the back, or south areas. I think around the old western berm breach. No dune buggy fumes. Pretty sure it was battery operated.
I can't speak for anyone else but....whom else do you all think could of pulled this off ??? You're a great reporter, even from the very start giving it 110%, and with the new camera things seem to just leap and bound, too bad it all had to be on a sinkhole in your back yard ruining your life. Wish everything was just a bad dream for you so you could back to making your wildlife videos that I'm fond of. Take care!
LOL JoAnn....I got called a troll and several other cute names for insisting all the trees were NOT dead months ago. Haven't heard the first apology. Go figure. Thanks, and back atcha!
I wonder if the oil you smelled in the south area was another precursor to that area sinking. Glad the cart was not emitting fumes. A farmer in my area has run a little car on solar for the past 10 years now, & we get a lot of rain. Where there's the will.....
LOL...I doubt blanks would work too well. Hmmmm, or a life jacket for that matter if I get sucked down to....ummm, nevermind. I think I DON'T want to think about that beforehand....:-)

Awesome video! Thank you so much for sharing your tour & highlighting the beautiful scenery. Your efforts are so appreciated. God Bless

Thank you for a little bit of transparency to what seems to be a terrible thing going on in the swamp.

I just saw your Part 2 post showing this area. Glad it didn't sink while u two were on it....

You're one brave woman!

This is so sad, I would like to know how much land has been ruined

You're welcome DizzyDish! Thank you watching!
that's cool with the gator = thank u for the teachings of this state and the problems of a sink hole that it is leaving behind 👴🕊👀
Make an update video (if you still there) this is very interesting.
Does this video show any of the southern berm that just sunk? Thanks again for sharing your talent & heart w us.
that gator is saying just dive on in baby. he's ready for supper

Doing my check on this disaster

Thanks maremuse....the haters just make me laugh. I know jealousy when I see it.
They seem to be doing a good job of keeping the oil skimmed off.
What did it smell like, or did the 'dune buggy' fumes tend to take over?
Nature is tenacious & wins eventually. So will the truth. Check out Malvina Reynold's song, "God Bless the Grass."
And Texas Brine or any other drilling companies are still allowed to drill. They just need to closed down
Hoggarth The Wise Smeagol yea drilling had nothing to do with this dumbass
I did it for a year in college...all except the gasoline part! :-)
Yeh? Wait until you see me out in the middle of that sinkhole. THAT will be brave... :-)
With a life jacket & gator repellant (blanks?) please!
Yes it is, very much so....
trumoose, do you think you can go one hour w/o using, eating, wearing anything that oil didn't bring into your life? I can't.
LOL...I doubt blanks would work too well. Hmmmm, or a life jacket for that matter if I get sucked down to....ummm, nevermind. I think I DON'T want to think about that beforehand....:-)
GREED,,, couldn't leave nature alone,,
thanks for sharing! awful
Sad commentary based on nothing concrete. Uninhabited land whereas man is not in control...
Boring!!!!!!
