One of Bings sons ended up playing a cop on ADAM 12.I used to live a couple blocks from where Bing was born.Ted went to my Junior high and I went to High School with Teds Brother.
Jordan, welcome to my corner of the world! I was just at the Metropolitan Market a week ago to get cheeses and desert for a family Labor Day BBQ. They have the best pies and cakes around! The Crosby family is one of the earlier settlers of Washington. There is a house in Olympia, my town, where his relatives first settled. It's now a museum.
So glad to see this video about my beloved Tacoma. My family wants me to move back to Kentucky but Tacoma has influenced me and allowed me to find myself again. Being the huge Nirvana fan that I am, I unknowingly moved into a house that Krist Novoselic owned and there a pics of Kurt in the backyard which my friends and I reshot before I had to get out since the landlord sold the place. Then. I unknowingly end up going to a spot that Kurt visited regularly. His friend still lives there and I stay there too sometimes. I always sit at the booth Kurt sat at. I love hearing their stories about Kurt. Another strange thing that happened was yearly, I'd find the same article in my yard, on my wind shield and tacked to a storage room, about Nirvana. My landlord and other tenants said they had nothing to do with it. I believe Kurt lead me there and nudged me in the right direction and helped me with my art. I am now an aspiring comedian, singer, songwriter and host/interviewer of all local heavy metal/rock scenes. I lived there for 4 yrs. I cried when I had to leave but at least I'm still in Tacoma.🥰 (If only people knew of the talented musicians still around here.)
Bing also invested in the development of the first recording machines that were started from machines that used paper to record music and it was all backed by Bing.
@@DazewithJordantheLion Did you know that these machines were smugged in the USA by GI's in pieces from German and there were on 4 in existence my friends uncle had one .What was so amazing to me was that it was so low key and the task was completed by basically such a highly used item now that the actions of first at least two countries maybe more ,who know how many people? I believe you reported his need to record weekly shows which enabled Him to travel more at the time was a necessity. Thank you for letting me share history is interesting to some ofus.
I just don’t know how you find some of this stuff! I am in that neighborhood where Bing Crosby‘s house is almost every day and I never knew that it was there, what a find, will have to go find it today! Not only that, but OMG, Metropolitan Market or as we lovingly call it METRO market. You passed by THE cookie, the chocolate chip sensation known throughout the area, next time you will have to have one 😎Thanks for starting my day off with a bang! 🤠
I grew up In Olympia WA. There is a Bing Crosby house close to the old Olympia Brewery right on the Dechutes River. I also knew a lady that studied with Ted Bundy at the UW library late at night! She said she NEVER saw anything strange about him. Very polite, studied hard, always walked her out to her car after studying. She asked him after all his "killings" came out why he didn't kill her. He just said, "Not my type" Scary as hell.....
Thats not suprising... My grandmother was an outstanding waitress in L A calif. I grew up in hollywood my father still lives in burbank but anyhoo my grandma has some storys about theses movie star tippers lol... God Bless ox
My dad was a musician who worked with Bing Crosby in the late 1940's and early 1950's, when they were both with Decca Records. He always remembered Bing as incredibly generous. In addition to paying the musicians who performed at his private parties, he would send over a case of champagne with a note, "Thanks for helping me celebrate!" Bing
Beautiful night skyline. Those roller skaters are such hipsters. LOL. I was in Seattle once 23 years ago. It does not look like it's changed too much. I think the Needle was maybe $15 then vs. $50 you said the other day. I was shocked how much the price went up.
Thank You and Amy for going to all these awesome cool places something I can't do anymore until the treatments for the head & throat cancer I have are over...Say Hello to Jaw for me too
What a great day we are having today meeting your lovely friends again nice to see Bing's family home I was very close to him when he was in Ireland playing golf he was with his son he was so nice to everyone it was great to see this big star loved all his movies thanks Jordan for sharing your day with us Lots of Love Jordan and Amy and hi to all Lionheart's keep safe Marie Dublin Ireland

Tacoma Tacoma Tacoma!! I did not even know Bing was from there originally. I have been in that Metro Market...its pretty amazing. What I love about Tacoma is that it is almost virtually unchanged. Unlike Seattle where so many cool old buildings have been torn down for ugly new things...Tacoma has remained in the past. Another great town is Olympia...it is virtually unchanged. Kurt use to live there, I have visited him when he lived there so many years ago. Lots of cool places to vlog. As always an amazing Vlog!
Seattle Washington beautiful beautiful it was so nice to see you Amy stuff in his family you all bring such joy and the view was out-of-this-world and of course the Ted Bundy and Bing Crosby was just a cherry on top thank you Jordan so much for sharing all this with us thank you Amy Stephen his wife and his daughter and everybody for allowing us to come in and be a part of your day stay safe friend
I have the most beautiful view of MT. Rainier every day on my School Bus Route. Well, when there isn't a pandemic going on. The Pacific North West is a beautiful place to live. Thank you, Jordan and Amie for the awesome Vlog!
So beautiful there in WA state. Learned things about Bing Crosby and Ted Bundt I didn’t know. Bing was such a visionary in his time. Cool being able to see planes come in and take off in the water. Happy y’all got to spend time with Stefan and his family. Nice seeing a store that is nicely stocked. Our Walmart keeps running out of a lot of things. You’re burrito looked good. Love seeing you and Amy together. I think your best day ever are the days you get to spend with Amy. Thank you for sharing about Bing Crosby and Ted Bundy. And for sharing Amy with us. Love you guys and Jah. Stay happy. God bless you both ❤️😊🌹rose for Amy
Beautiful state. Sunsets are so magical. Thanks for the sightseeing tour of the neighborhoods. I love the old homes. Safe travels for your future adventures!
Wow what a desirable area to live in , absolutely beautiful. Your friend Stefan and family are blessed to live there. Thank you for vlog. I had no idea Bing Crosby was from that area
Jordan - that airport in Renton was originally for float planes. Wiley Post took off for his final flight to Alaska. He had a very famous passenger on that fatal flight! Will Rogers!!!Lots of history in this area!
Great to see Stefan (along with his lovely wife and kids) and pretty Amy! Enjoyed the interesting stories about Bing Crosby and Ted Bundy. Really liked seeing the beautiful scenery. Looks like a very cool place to live. Thanks for taking us along, Jordan!
Nice little factual history of the homes and even better to see them up close too,the bit of sightseeing to finish out the vlog was awesome 👌 fantastic vlog Jordan 👏.
Hi! so cool to see you in my area! I highly recommend coming over to visit greenlake! it's such a gorgeous place and right near the woodland park zoo! the smoke definitely makes things a bit difficult though.
Thank you Jordan and Amy this was a very interesting video and it was fun to see Stefan and his family again. You can tell you all have a great time together. Your view from your hotel was very nice and calming.
There is a lot of Bing Crosby history here in Spokane, Washington where I am at. Another Bing Crosby home here has been turned into a museum on Gonzaga University campus. His Oscar is here too. Of course, now that I watched the video I see that you mentioned that! LOL
Wooooooow! Great video! I want to visit Washington so so bad! Especially the Seattle area. After hearing Dave Grohl talk about it for so many years and me being a huge Nirvana and Foo Fighters fan makes me wanna visit even more.
Thanks so much for the sight seeing tour of Tacoma, Jordan. It looks really interesting there. I love when you show us your actual travels on the plane and in the airports. It's the only way we get to travel a lot of us anymore. Seeing the houses of Bing and Ted Bundy was interesting too. Great coffee options in Tacoma! lol
Interesting and “peaceful looking” vlog! That market makes me think, “if Gelson’s and Bristol Farms had a baby....” I love those markets - I can pick up lunch while I shop for the rest of the week.
Hi Jordan & Amy, Lake Washington looks lovely, and always a treat to see Stefan. Well, Bing looks like he had a good start in life, what a lovely childhood home, I loved the old 'Road To' films. Oh, that bear tree is BRILLIANT, that made me laugh. OH MY, THAT STORE IS AMAZING, look at those cheeses! It would be lovely to have a picnic by that lake. Great vlog Jordan.
Used to see Bing with his friend Phil Harris at a local coffee shop when he was older .They would sit at the counter like anybody. That was their favorite place to stop on their way to go hunting .Used to have his hunting dogs waiting in a station wagon. Nice guy.
Enjoyed this trip to Tacoma WA w/you. Bing Crosby & Ted Bundy childhood homes - wow! - great info as always. Loved the "local flavor" that amazing market - you have a talent for filming the most unique & fascinating interests!! ❤
What a wonderful day to spend with friends and loved ones. Stefan sure did find a beautiful spot to move to. Much better than being in crowded Southern California. Strange combination of people to blog today. Bing Crosby was amazing singer. Ted Bundy was just scary. I love Bing Crosby and Bob Hope's movies together. They were so funny. Thank you the beautiful shots of Washington. It is a magnificent state. I love the mountains.
My great aunt Lee Wiley did at least one song with Bing Crosby. Not sure if it was a whole record. I should look up that song! If you ask Alexa she will play her music☺️. Such a beautiful area! Perfect day
Thanks for covering Bing, Jordan. It would be great if you could also visit his home he lived in during his middle and college years in Spokane which is located on the Gonzaga University Campus, and is now a museum dedicated to his life.
Great vlog, Jordan and Amy! Bing Crosby used to bring his golf tournament to a local course back in the 80s and my Grandma loved to go to it, many happy memories of those days! White Christmas is also one of my favorite movies, I watch it every year at Christmas, and during the year as well if I need a mood lifter. I'm new to the channel and I don't watch the videos in order so I was wondering, where's Amy nowadays? I love the videos she is a part of, she has an infectious smile and a kind spirit, I hope all is well with her! ✌️
I used to stay at TAC every time I traveled for work at Seattle. I loved Tacoma and people there (Seattle) would talk smack about the town. But I loved it.
Bing lived in Hillsborough, CA with his second wife and family. Hope that you'll have an opportunity to show that house too. One of Bing's son said that the second wife was a god send and didn't allow the abusive behavior to continue.
Kathryn Grant had a small supporting roll in a movie called Anatomy of a Murder. Wonderful film. Lots of stars and future stars in it. My grandmother showed me his home back in the early 70's. I live near his other home here in Spokane Wa located on Sharp st on the university of Gonzaga campus. Its now the Alumni House for the university.
My parents knew Bing and his first wife, Dixie. We used to have dinner with them at Rogers Ranch Club in 29 Palms. I was just shy of 4 years old, and unfortunately I don't remember it. It was said that Dixie may have been the wife he wanted, but Kathryn was the wife he needed. Kathryn Grant will always be the Princess Parissa in "The Seventh Voyage Of Sinbad" to me. My parents adored Dixie, but she had a truly horrendous drinking problem. She died of cancer in the fall of 1952, about 6 months after I had those Rogers Ranch Club dinners with them.
Bing Crosby's children by his first wife said he was very abusive both mentally and physically to them. His oldest son wrote a book about it. Seems that was very prevelant in old hollywood.
Thanks for mentioning this. People say he was a great man. I don’t think so. I can’t get past how he whipped his kid until he bled. Anyone that would do that is a horrible person in my book. Period!
@@seattlescofflaws I didn't know until my cousin told me s few months ago. She heard it on a podcast or a documentary. He was very mentally abusive to them as well.
Yes, my Grandmother and Aunts told me the same thing! It was very sad! His sons said that he never spent any time with them; like he did with his 2nd family! Bing was so busy entertaining; with the 1st family to pay attention to his kids! His 2nd family, he was established and older and had time for his 2nd set of kids! Doesn't make it right! Kids never forget! 🙄
I loved this. Loved seeing Stefan in video too. That area sure looks amazingly beautiful. You always find the best stuff to vlog @DazewithJordantheLion 🙂 Hope Amy is doing well. much love to you both 🥰
I love the STD (Stop the Donald) lawn sign lol. "Stop the spread" at the bottom :) Great vid though Jordan, you and Amy look like you are having fun and loving life.
💋Beautiful state! No wonder Stefan moved up there. This vlog shows what a great vlogger you really are. To showcase two totally different people in one vlog. Amy is a doll. Love her zest for life. God bless you all. You and Amy should move there;) Continued Blessings and Support. ~Love&Light💖Carli
My brother inlaw to high school with Bundy at Curtis high school and I guess people thought he was a bit weird at that time and didn't have many friends.
Looks like Stefan picked a beautiful area to bring up his family, enjoyed both stories about Bing and the very evil Ted Bundy, I think Amy made a new little friend with Brooklyn 😊, doesn’t look a cheap area to live if that grocery store is anything to go by Jordan, but it is a very pretty, Thankyou Jordan and Amy loved the vlog x
It is the North end of Tacoma and that is the nicest area really. I lived just down the road from that fancy grocery store off Proctor. There are lots of bad areas in Tacoma for sure.
Being from Eastern Washington and living there for 20 years I moved to a Puyallup and lived there for 14 years. Loved seeing so many places I had been. You passed Dale Chihuly Bridge of Glass in Tacoma. That was the big Cone looking thing. Absolutely amazing. He also has Chihuly Garden and Glass in Seattle. Our oldest child had heart problems but we didn’t know this until he was going to have surgery at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital which you were right by there. His cardiologist was on MLK st. So been in that area lots of time. K St. and MLK st are not the safest and not good reputation. Portland Ave doesn’t have the best either. Also my friend and her friend was approached y Ted Bundt while riding bikes in Puyallup. Scary. Met my husband in Tacoma area on a blind date.He was stationed at Fort Lewis. We didn’t go to Tacoma to often only for some doctors appointments. The traffic is always so bad. Also wondering if you smelled the wonderful Tacoma Aroma. Love it when Mt Rainier is out. I could see it from my house. Miss going up to Mt. Rainier so beautiful. A fun place is Northwest Trek by Eatonville. It’s an animal park where you go in a tram a look at animals wondering around. Kurt Corbain childhood home is in Aberdeen.
Jordan if you ever make it to Jacksonville Florida would love to see you vlog Southern rock pioneers. Lynyrd Skynyrd, 38 Special, Molly Hatchet, Blackfoot all from here.
Well Jordan... you got me... I'm late posting my review of Bing Crosby's first home!! He was a pretty vibrant entertainer but then you take us to Ted Bundy's childhood pad. What a crazy story that he'd flip out over womans heart. Insanity knows no boundaries. What a great market they have there Jordan, dont forget to get some coffee!! Thanks again for the Vlog!!
I cant believe it took this long to watch this awesome vlog Jordan. Where do I begin. I was born and raised in the Tacoma area. Lived there until 2015. I grew up in nearby Puyallup. So many stories. You went to the Metropolitan Market in the Proctor district .My brother recently retired from being the seafood manager there. We used to party on Ruston Way when it was undeveloped. The land where Point Ruston was developed was once contaminated because a copper smelter (Asarco) was there. Some of highest cancer rates in country once came from the town of Ruston. Your camera facing north towards Browns Point where my aforementioned brother lives. Were you staying in Renton? Anyway I could go on and on. My stomping grounds Bro. Nice job.👍
One of Bings sons ended up playing a cop on ADAM 12.I used to live a couple blocks from where Bing was born.Ted went to my Junior high and I went to High School with Teds Brother.
Bing Crosby and Ted Bundy - that's two names I wouldn't normally expect to see together! 😂
I don't think Bing ever met Ted Bundy because Bing had dies in 1977, but not sure anything about Ted.
Bing was one of the worlds best singers, and no one could sing Christmas songs as well as he did! As always, a great Vlog!
Jordan, welcome to my corner of the world! I was just at the Metropolitan Market a week ago to get cheeses and desert for a family Labor Day BBQ. They have the best pies and cakes around! It's so good when friends are like family. When you can be apart and never miss a beat when you come back together. Those are the best relationships.
Bing was on my grandma's terrible tipper list!😁
Ha ha ha guess he forgot about the working people? John Lennon tipped my Uncle a quarter as he exited his cab 🚕. Cheap os!

What a great surprise to see you in my neighborhood of North Tacoma. I really enjoyed the vlog!
What's freaky is I was editing old 1940s newspapers this morning and Bing was in one of the ads!
Beautiful night skyline. Those roller skaters are such hipsters. LOL.
I was in Seattle once 23 years ago. It does not look like it's changed too much. I think the Needle was maybe $15 then vs. $50 you said the other day. I was shocked how much the price went up.

@@lemorab1 cool story
Would it be dumb to move just for that grocery store? Lol. Nice vlog! What a beautiful area.
You do a great job. Really enjoyed. Thank you.
That is such a beautiful place up there. I wish to see it some day.
Another great video Jordan...Thanks!
That was cool so glad your trip was not effected by the fires
Good morning, Jordan & Amy. Give Jah a hug for me 🥰😊🌞👍❤️🕊
Looks like Stefan picked a beautiful area to bring up his family, enjoyed both stories about Bing and the very evil Ted Bundy, I think Amy made a new little friend with Brooklyn 😊, doesn’t look a cheap area to live if that grocery store is anything to go by Jordan, but it is a very pretty, Thankyou Jordan and Amy loved the vlog x
I was born in Tacoma lived down the road from Ted’s house
Jordan if you ever make it to Jacksonville Florida would love to see you vlog Southern rock pioneers. Lynyrd Skynyrd, 38 Special, Molly Hatchet, Blackfoot all from here.
Thank you Jordan, greetings Amy
So cool Aimee and the other woman could so easily pass as sisters.
Cool video Jordan! By the way, my son lives in Tacoma.
Jordan next time your in Tacoma, Washington you should check out Lincoln high school on 38th and g beautiful history of that School.
Washington is such a beautiful state!
I love your videos.
Danngggg....that metro market looks great❣️
Lake Washington i where the Late, great chief test pilot for Boeing Tex Johnson barrel rolled the first 707.
You should check out Lake Sammamish.
Some of highest cancer rates in country once came
from the town of Ruston. Your camera facing north towards Browns Point where my aforementioned brother lives. Were you staying in Renton? Anyway I could go on and on. My stomping grounds Bro. Nice job.👍
Wow what a beautiful place. Makes me want to go to tacoma now lol
Seattle area seems nice. Interesting vlog.
Wow, a tale of two completely different men! I was blown away by the bear tree. Amy is lovely!
Apollo Ono also was from Seattle
Love following you on your adventures! So glad Amy went along! She’s adorable!
