In case the community is still wondering why the OEM injectors fail when you add the bigger HPFP, that happens on all platforms. The injectors have to spray longer to get the fuel in for the added boost. With DI, that means you might spray into compression or even into combustion, if the tuner or the tool removes the safety clips. The combustion pressure pushes back into the open injector and hurts the injector internals. That is the most common DI injector failure after upgrading the HPFP. To prevent this you need to closely watch the actual start of injection angle and even more important the actual end of injection angle or the distance to spark.
Bigger DI injectors are able to deliver the bigger amount of fuel in a shorter injection window. They can start spraying after the exhaust valve has fully closed and still deliver all the fuel way before the combustion event starts.

Just dropped off my car at Go Auto Performance for it's big build. Minimum of 2 weeks probably 3-4 weeks until it's done. HOPEFULLY I can get the new AMS injectors and fuel rails on at the same time as my Pure Stage 2 turbos and front LSD install. New AMS tune will top it off. 540 HP on pump gas. I'll usually use the 15 PSI 450 HP map and use the 20 PSI 540 HP map for the times I race it.
I'll keep you posted. Maybe after it's done we can meet at the Hamden Ct park n ride parking lot and check out each other's cars. It's the 1/2 way point..and my sister has a place there we can relax at. Fall ride??

Hey Boost can you make a video about ECUtek bluetooth gauges and what metrics and temps we should be watching for? For example what are some normal or high charge air temps, engine oil temps, intake temps, AFR etc. Sorry if you made a video on this already, couldn't find it anywhere but figured a lot of people would love to know too.

I have a 22 Q60 Redsport , a Heat exchanger, air intakes & a cat ack exhaust system… without a tune is it worth it??? I’m 60 plus so my race days are behind me 😂
Well done my brotha, great information regarding proper parts to build safe and reliable car especially when pushing 500whp to 600whp. Heat exchange, upgrade fuel pumps, full exhauts etc. Even though I own modded Lexus IS-F it's great to see JDM cars letting Euro and American cars know they competition that not can perform as well they out last them as well. 👍🏽

@@johnwest2986 lol and you assume this how? Fbo Pure turbo q50's are already pushing 600whp and 600wtq. Heck STOCK turbo fbo cars are at 560ish whp and tq. All we're really waiting for are actual aftermarket turbos, bbfp, and injectors. And there's been zero proof so far that our stock internals won't handle 700. But to be safe, let's say forged rods and pistons..... Ok genius I GUARANTEE you rods, pistons, bbfp, injectors and bigger turbos will not equate to a 20k package. And if stock internals can handle the power and no need for rods or pistons? 10-12k MAX.

Yes it is...but why not spend the extra 400 and get a good tune from AMS for example. The engine will run more efficiently and get more power out of it at the same time. I went jb4 and felt it, but the tune....night and day difference!!!
