Here what matters is not perfection, but the ability to transcend the physical aspect, just the inner struggle of the ego himself and according to the real purpose of the Art of Gichin Funakoshi! Unfortunately the vast majority do not understand this kind of practice! Congratulations Yano'Sensei, this is Karate-Do! OSS!!

Parabéns Yano'Sensei, isto é Karate-Do! Great workout! The true spirit of Budo-Karate-Do! Here the "fight" is against yourself, that is what matters! Everything, to me, must have purpose. If you tell me that we are going to do mental training through a very physically demanding class and I know that it will be amidst people of like mind, then, if I want to be a part of that, I'd be happy to attend a seminar such as this. However, if I want to learn something new, or to delve into Kata and discover their secrets etc, then I will simply opt out of this session. In the end, it all comes down to purpose and what we want for ourselves when the moment presents itself.
Therefore, I do not go to such seminars, if you do not have to show anything new at least torturing participants. That I can do at home, no need to master of 8th dan.
50 times? It's not at all uncommon for teachers & coaches with very limited language skills or teaching ability, to revert to this type of training. We can fall into the trap of believing 'practice makes perfect', and because we are exhausted that we must have progressed. IMHO only 'Perfect practice leads eventually to perfection'. Training rote without thought, can actually lead to entrenching really bad habits (muscle memory). Just my opinion though.
