01:33 I met a music educator (sax player) many years ago who told me an Ernie Watts story. He said that he had a huge ego as a youngster concerning his sax playing abilities …..he never ran into a sax player who he couldn’t crush in the area that he was from. He thought that he was destined to be the next Sonny Rollins …. until he arrived at Berklee. On his first day on campus, he witnessed Ernie Watts (who was a student) rehearsing with a small group. He instantly saw the future and knew that he was going to be a teacher 😂😂😂😂😂

On the topic of fairness, I just wanted to throw something in the comments that I heard one time. It was commentary on the saying "treat people how you want to be treated," pointing out that this isn't ideal since not everyone wants to be treated the same; people will naturally have different values they follow. Instead you should treat people how *they* want to be treated, as shown in Terrace's anecdote about paying for everyone's meal at dinner.
The objection to this outlook is probably something like "Oh well that puts the burden of knowledge/action on me, why should I have that obligation?" While I get that some people might not have the energy for it, I think we should try to put efforts into the relationships we engage in.

Not a guy I would take medical advice from, the only thing he probably knows about is producing music. I admire his talents but just because someone is good at one thing, that doesn't give them omnipotent knowledge.
