Yeah it's a shame. That place has some drainage issues and the big bowl is cracking and it's not that old. How long have you been skating? I just started and I feel I finally found my calling but at nearly 45 I'm not sure how long I have left to skate?

Knee slide as much as possible, it's actually easier on bigger ramps and with less stress on the ankles. Nice to see you pushing yourself, but remember to build up some basics before you hit anything too big. I say learn to pump real good in the big bowl first, as fast and high as you can. That way you are used to speed and the little bowl will seem like the baby pool and be perfect for learning tricks.
Looking forward to seeing more vids, keep it up.

Thanks. I started on the tiniest little quarter pipe I could find and just worked up. Falling is painful though...lol

Yes sir! I subbed, keep making progress. I like to see natural progression. Do the pads give you more confidence and fearlessness for pushing yourself to go further?

Thanks.. I subbed as well. Definitely the pads make you more confident. My right elbow would have been shattered by now and I would have probably cracked my skull without it all. Not to mention my kneecap could have also been toast. I never would have attempted any of it without pads and a helmet.

+Adult World Sucks my pads are in the mail.

+George Good to hear that. I love my helmet. In 4 months of skating I have only hit my head once. But that one time I did was so hard that I felt pain inside my head for a few seconds. Possibly a mild concussion? But imagine what could have happened without the helmet.
Are you a middle age shredder too? Getting back into skating or like me a first timer?

+Adult World Sucks I to am a middle aged shredder.. 49yo! I had a board when younger but never used it. I just got my first one 2 wks ago. I retired from the Army and I now work in Saudi Arabia. Very hot here...

+George 49...a good age to retire in my books. I'm hoping for for 55 but then the wife will be on my case all the time...lol.
Are there any places good to skate in Saudi Arabia? Its really modern over there but how do the police feel about street skating. They're pretty strict with the rules arent they?
