Thanks for watching and thanks to the fan who came and said hello!
Thank you for sharing these pictures. The Suffold Scale Model Show has a lot of talented modelers. I enjoyed seeing every picture in this video.
You would have enjoyed the show, had you been there, you may even have picked up a bargain from a trader. As I have told you before, a few of your fellow countrymen are members of the Ipswich club, either current or former servicemen at the local US airbases.
@@BasicModelling I didn't know some of my fellow Americans joined your club? That's awesome 😀
Love's me a good model show, thanks for the tour mate
😉👍
You are very welcome.. :)
This was really fun, thanks for taking all of these pictures Rob :) It will be a long while before I'm able to go to a model show again, so this was the next best thing. I hope that you found a few good kits to bring home.
Thank you Jared, I won two kits in their raffle, a HobbyBoss 1/48 F-80C Shootintg Star & an ICM 1/35 T-60 Tank, plus a Luftwaffe book. I bought a couple of old Revell kits (the 1/72 Albatros D-III & 1/72 Sopwith Triplane, plus an old Italeri Reggiane RE.2001, because they were cheap. I also bought glue, a set of ICM acrylic British WWII Infantry Uniform paints. I have never used ICM acrylics before, so I hope they are good. I also got some 'shrubbery' and some 1/72 metal US Infantry figures. I actually left with money left over, for a change.. :)
@@BasicModelling I'm usually pretty leary of model kit raffles, but theose are both excellent kits :) I've build that same Revell Albatross, many, many years ago. I think it was one of my first modeling uploads, but I remember that it was a very fun kit, and I enjoyed building it quite a bit. I would be very interested to hear your opinions on the ICM piants, I've seen the company advertise them a few times, but they aren't in Canada yet.
@@rebelsatcloudnine I will be building some British Infantry soon, so that will be a good time to try the paints out. I was surprised to find the paints there, but if they work, they should be perfect for the figures, (hopefully). At least they are not drop bottles. I can't stand drop bottles.
That was a wonderful display Rob. Thank you for showing us around. We don't seem to showcase our modeling talents here so it makes me wish I could have been there.
There's no shortage of shows in this part of te UK, within a couple of hours drive. Ipswich only takes 20 minutes, though, so it is nice and local.. I was pleased to see there were a few railway inspired builds on display as well, so made sure to take photos of them..
@@BasicModelling Thank you for the railway pictures Rob, Airfix, my favourite.
Really cool model show. 👍
It's a small, but very friendly show... :) :)
@@BasicModelling I was at one such exhibition this weekend too. Check out my report on it today.
@@goforitpainting I will do so now.. :) Thank you :)
