there is so many variations of this solo its not funny.
i wish all bands made tab books so you would know the exact way to play it like the original artist's
+Just Another Guitar Channel There is an Avenged Sevenfold tablature book that has this song... They have several books for multiple albums and one for some of their most popular songs.
+Eli Westin it is offical but not correct though. They completly mix up syns and zacks lines.
Even the official books get it wrong. Only way to know exactly what they're playing is by slowing down the music and figuring it out by yourself. You also need a good ear.
A Exactly. This is pretty damn hard though. The offical book not only mixes it up it is all wrong. It is official in means of being official A7X merchandise that makes them money but I am pretty sure the band themselves didn´t work on that at all.
That is just the way it is and most bands do that.

Guys, from 2:00 onwards, the tabs are wrong not just for this cover but for majority of the tabs out there. The pull offs are x1 time, but in the tabs its x2 times which is why i couldn't play it on time all the fucking time because i been playing more notes.

I think it's a matter of having the patience to practice the solo really slowly and gradually getting up to speed. Of course, that doesn't mean the solo is easy. In fact, I can tell it is hard even at lower speeds, especially the fast alternate picking. The fact that the solo is pretty long doesn't help either. It requires some serious stamina. Someday I'll try to learn it but for the time being I'll stick with a somewhat "easier" solo, like the one in "Chapter Four". After learning it I can say it is a good way to practice sweep-picking, since even at top speed all the sweeps are playable (save for the last one). At least I can get it to sound quite decent, and I'm not even that good at sweep-picking. It is a pain to mute the strings properly, though. There are a couple of tough spots where I always mess up and the wrong string starts ringing.

I do a natural harmonic on the fifth fret of the G string, then pull the whammy until it reachea the note that is in the album

Andrei’s explanation is pretty good. I’ll explain in further detail:
1) do a natural harmonic
2) pull/push the tremolo bar to increase the tension/pitch (Depends on if the bar is positioned in front of or behind the bridge. Some players keep their bar locked behind the bridge so it’s out of the way.) until desired note is reached
3) if you wanna do a dive bomb, then stop pulling/pushing on the bar and pull/push it so that the note drops in pitch and releases all tension (the string may even get totally floppy if you dive far enough).
4) mute the strings with your fretting hand so it doesn’t make terrible noise when you allow it to come back to standard tension.

Liam MIller all i can suggest is to play this solo till you can perform it well, you will see that technique will come
Tremolo picking and sweep picking, practice it with a metronome, start practicing very slowly and then increase the speed gradually when you feel comfortable and ready to do it
Practice songs with progressively harder and faster licks. Practice tremolo picking to a metronome. Learn to tremolo pick not just in straight time, but in triplets too.

Iv been playing for two years and I’m already half way through this solo the first thing u need to learn is how to fast pick and sweep pick start slow and if u know then go for something a little harder and when u feel ready try play this.I play almost all day...I have no life

The second part off the solo seems a bit different when u demonstrate u do it different and when u show it slow it’s different but when u slowit down it sounds like the same shit ether way...IM GOING CRAZY I SWEAR!!!!i made my own version so it’s cool used some off ur stuff from that part the rest I fixed it myself lol thanks for the lesson though it helped me a lot through this solo
