Fun fact: When I was a kid I thought the name Avenged Sevenfold meant the band had seven singers. So I had essentially envisioned this band as like a metal seven dwarves, and I was always trying to figure out which one was singing whenever I was listening to one of their songs.
I remember when this song first came out and the music video was on tv. I was super pumped to finally see a video of them, but the shock and disappointment I felt when I realized there was only one singer and zero metal dwarves has haunted me ever since. I'll never forgive this band for that. They didn't do anything wrong, but I'll never forgive them.

I took my son to see Metallica in June and A7X opened for them, they were great. I’ve always been a fan though, they are one of those bands that speaks to my soul...so far away is especially meaningful for me. I wish more people would let go of the comparisons and enjoy a band for who they are and what they stand for. If you don’t like it, move on to something that does speak to you. Not trying to sound mean, I don’t like everything so I move on and find what I do.

Listening to this just brings me back to how I used to sneak into the computer room late at night to talk to her. We lost contact after she told me she will migrate to Brazil.
