Hi, my query is about the usual large number of electronic items I carry for my India visits, as follows: 1. Office Laptop (received from office in Germany & therefore should not be a concern, though I wont have any bills) 2. Office iPhone (received from office in Germany & therefore should not be a concern, though I wont have any bills) 3. Personal Laptop (bill demonstrating that it was bought in Germany on Amazon should be adequate) 4. Personal Phone (bought in India & already previously brought into Germany; I have its bill which on conversion is a bit more than 430 Euro). Query 1: Are my assumptions for points 1-3 above correct that these DO NOT need to be disclosed at all on the disclosure form? Query 2: For the personal phone, if I put it on this form, can I be asked to pay tax at this stage for the same? How should this be handled?
Query 1: you are correct Query 2: this varies how you are going to portray, keep in mind electronic items always gets decreased over time. You can try this way
@@VanakkamGermany What would be the best way to find correct current price of mobile phone. And if its more than 430€, after the form is filled online, is it still liable for tax. The point is that the phone was purchased while the residence was in India. Ex : Phone with INR 125000 purcahased in 2022 & individual moved to Germany (along with old phone) in 2023.
If I brought some jewellery from India worth more than 430€, haven't declared it when coming to Germany. Can I declare it now using this form at airport, or will the officials ask for any bills or proof about these jewellery?
You can declare them at airport Zoll 🛃 before flying, beware of one point- they may ask a question, why didn’t you declare them earlier. 1. you can prove them that you got it as a gift 🎁 from your friend (or) 2. your parents brought them with them and gifted you but didn’t pay any taxes because it was under the limit (or) 3. you brought the gold very long before (value of gold was very less during those times, so didn’t pay customs tax. If none of them is helping you out, carry very less gold (only mangalsutra) or so.
Your video is very informative. I have some queries -- 1. If anyone is going with her husband for the first time from India to Germany, then how much gold then carry maximum (430+430)€ = 860€ ?? 2. And do we need to declare this above mentioned limit of gold? Or the declaration should be done only if we exceed this limit? 3. Can i carry artificial jewelleries(looks like gold jewellery, but not gold) to Germany? Or do I have to declare that also?
Did I understood correctly? You mean to say , you don’t want to bring the gold? Then you don’t have to declare it in Germany 🇩🇪 because you won’t be carrying it back
Hi very informative. So if we brought already some jewellery to Germany that is more than 430 Eur. Now if I fill this form to take it to India and bring back. Will they ask some proofs on how it is brought to Germany.? Will I be fined now for that.?
It all depends how you are going to address the issue to the customs officer. They may ask a question, why didn’t you declare them earlier. Following tips may help you. Disclaimer : I am not an authorized person to recommend it. Follow these points. 1. you can prove them that you got it as a gift 🎁 from your friend (or) 2. your parents brought them with them and gifted you but didn’t pay any taxes because it was under the limit (or) 3. you brought the gold very long before (value of gold was very less during those times, so didn’t pay customs tax.
