So happy I came across this podcast. I follow Martins story on Instagram. I'm 37 and being diagnosed only a few years ago. No support or being understood as a kid. Hearing this resonates so much. Very much masking. Putting things together now I have a diagnosis I can put things to rest from when I was younger. My own 13 year old said mom how sad but amazing how you got through so much education all by yourself. I am a wife, mom, step mom, foster mom. I didn't have a good relationship with my mum because she didn't understand me, she still doesn't but, I am momming to the max! Autism is my superpower organising and overthinking others emotions, super empathy, asking are you ok do you need anything (partially because I can't read their faces sometimes)
