Our first trip to Crete was Elounda, back in 1982, not so many donkeys being ridden down the main street these days. We do still visit there occasionally, about a 2 1/2 hour drive from our home near Chania :-)

Elounda is always a favourite destination!....might be a bit far from Chania but its worth it! :)
