- I meet a subscriber who takes me home to meet his family while I travel from Islamabad to Peshawar on Pakistani's 5-star road and bus system.
The original idea for this video was to show you how amazing the Pakistani M1 & M2s motorways are, as well as the bus system is in Pakistan. And to teach foreigners how to catch a bus in Pakistan. But the video took a beautiful turn when I met a tribal man, Arfaq, from Kohat, on the bus who took me home for Chicken Biryani, Rajma, Tomato Chutney, Raita, and Naan.
This was an incredible welcome to Peshawar in Kyber Pakhtunkhwa!
If you're wanting to take buses in Pakistan, there are 2 companies: Daewoo and Faisal Movers. Daewoo is the original company and Faisal Movers is a more luxurious option (their seats even have TVs, for example). I travelled to Daewoo only because I'd travelled with them in 2018 and enjoyed the service. This video is of course not sponsored (I never do sponsorships).

Being an Indian it struck me how down to earth, friendly and kind Pakistani people are. Even when asked questions about India they reply back calmly and rationally with no bitterness. The media are a big problem in fuelling hatred between the two countries. I would love to visit Pakistan and meet its people.

Like in our culture, we can't go to someones house if we visiti after a long time without gifts(enpty handed) usually we take fruits cakes etc. And we must invite someone to food after a wedding etc and give them a gift as per traditions. Etc. According to religion we must look after our neighbors and Guests. We must feed them even if we don't have food (according to religion). So all of thus adds up to our hospitality
They were same as they were in the past, only difference is now people in India can get information from you tube, instead of propaganda driven media.

This is making me miss Pakistan. I was born in North America, but I’ve been there 3 times now. The people there don’t always have a lot in terms of material wealth, but they never let that stop them from being kind and generous to everyone they meet. It is a very stark contrast to life in the west, where most people pass you by without a word. They’re also some of the most hard working and industrious people I’ve ever met. Look up Pakistani truck building videos and you’ll see what I mean.

I think its snot Indian or some other media but the Mumbai Attacks, discovery and killing of Mullah Radio, Osama Bin Laden in Pakistan Abbottabad near a Pak army military base has portrayed the Pakistan as hell. The Pakistanis are seen as suspicious in most of the western countries, the passport has to be scrutinized more and all this happens not because of what media talks but as per the ground report available to various governments.

Since the last time you visited, they've actually opened far more motorways. Besides M1 (155 km) and M2 (370 km), they've opened M3 (230 km), M4 (310 km), M5 (390 km), M9 (130 km), M11 (90 kn), Hazara Motorway (100 km of that is motorway standard, rest is regular highway). M14 (280 km) is under construction and will be done likely in 2021.

Did that trip in 1985, my father was working with the Canadian Economic Development Agency in Islamabad. I came to visit for three weeks and dad hired a car and took us from Islamabad to Peshawar. Like traveling in a time machine. Just watched the video and Pakistan has come a long way in 35 years. Modern highways and services. Wow
