He is such a sweetheart - so humble and kindhearted. No wonder he's known as one of the nicest actors in Hollywood. And he's so SO talented. I've watched a couple of these interviews, and Steve's much more at ease, unpretentious and entertaining to listen to than his fellow thespians. Lots of love for Steve Carell. That's what she said.
+J Ho Well said. He stands out for his unpretentious manner among the other Hollywood 'elite'. Steve Carell is going to be a legend waaay after the other stars burn out.
I frickin love this interviewer. This woman KNOWS her shit, did her research, and asked great open-ended questions that got Steve to reveal really cool and interesting stories and tidbits we may have not ever known otherwise with an interviewer who was just phoning it in. For example, mentioning Michael Scott loving improv and how he'd pull the gun out (an Office viewer/fan would know this), so that made it interesting since we learned that it was based on a real person. Excellent interview.
Allen Quinn I feel the same way! I find myself comparing other interviewers to her and if I watch a conversation and she's not the interviewer I just skip it
When this video loaded I thought; ‘An hour and a half? Ugh. This is too long and I’m going to loose interest.’ Now with just a few minutes remaining I can’t believe it’s about to end. Wonderful, simply wonderful interview by both people.
When Steve talked about how he tried to make his jokes on the Daily Show at his character's expense when the people didn't deserve to be made fun of ---- this is why EVERYONE says he's the nicest guy ever
He needs to do this again! It was a great interview! I wanna see him talk about the big short and vice because these movies were so good and very interesting to see him play. Edit: and “Beautiful Boy” that movie is incredible and such a heartfelt amazing film
The true best actor of 2014. His performance in Foxcatcher is truly incredible and one of the best of the 2010s. Also it begins at 8:45 And Foxcatcher discussion is at 1:22:00
Auditions, job interviews, dating are all about hearing your soul and listening to it. It’s about seeing the world from the inside out not from the outside in (world influences).
Steve Carell starting off with "introducing" his Family at 2:39, it took me straight to lyrics of 'Baby Driver' by Simon & Garfunkel..."my daddy was the family bassman, my mamma was an engineer, and I was born one dark gray morn'..." 😁✌🏻 Great interview 👌🏻.
Steve Carell is so funny and sweet! He's the best! I'm a die-hard fan of The Office! I've never heard him talk about Michael Scott like that before. Yes, Michael liked having a lot of attention. He didn't have any true friends. He always considered his employees to be his friends/family. The chemistry on that show was amazing! A lot of the actors knew each other, even before they started filming The Office.
A "NewsRadio" reference --- Awesome! It's my favorite show and doesn't get referenced enough. Besides that, excellent interview. I love Steve Carell and am a big "The Office" fan.
Amazing interview. Jenelle is a great interviewer, she listened to Steve and let him talk. Steve was amazing like always, I love listen to him, his carrer is very interesting. He have done so much: improv, late night talk, TV, movies. Thank you so much for this Q&A
riley's the only one i like..a boisterous laugh, not afraid to make a mistake and admit it, and completely respectful in a really warm way...loved carell in crazy, stupid, love...so sorry he didn't talk about that one...the scenes with gosling were just classic...maybe my fav comedy of all time...carell's da best...
Ikr!! That just makes me love him even more, because I feel the office looses its esence in the last seasons, and knowing he feels the same way is great
Why was Steve never on Curb? He would've been genius! Maybe too busy with other things such as Office and films. But I would've loved to see him and Larry together
02:04 Why did the audience take offense to Jennelle's John Hughes joke? Hughes died 17 years after Curly Sue. It wasn't as if Curly Sue was his last film due to his untimely death
Take a look at Steve’s upper body, he has a great, no, fantastic physique! He did a joke with Stephen Colbert where Steve is bare chested and plays Fabio. Hah!Fabio didn’t even have any hair on his chest! Steve is very (gorgeously) buff! Whah!
Hi Steve Carell I want to stay I like the movie of the despicable me you all did good job. Its a good movie I love it.I the movie and youtube it cool how you all don the again great job.this Aaron Timothy Taylor

She is the BEST interviewer. I love her style. Great charisma too. This show was a delight!

Terri Hicks I skip every other interviewer also. Janelle is just a pleasure to watch.
Chevy chase and Eddie Murphy for reference
Agreed!
She is the best interview (non-news) EVER!
You can see how great he is at improv just watching this interview..and to echo what every body else is saying what a sweet guy..
One of the funniest people of our generation! Fantastic interview
Steve is the best.
I love this interview! Who doesn't love Steve Carell - he is such a hoot and so clever. Jenelle is a GREAT interviewer. I am a fan now.
Nikkie Judd I know I was totally thinking the same thing!! She is so sharp and educated on their, just very well rounded interviewer🤗
Toby doesn't like Steve Carell
@@janelleb.9206 i see what you did there, "rounded" gottcha!
I honestly can't watch their other interviewers. They get in their own and the guests' way. This one is consistently fabulous.
@@janelleb.9206 .............
I literally cried seeing how beautiful he is
When this video loaded I thought;
‘An hour and a half? Ugh. This is too long and I’m going to loose interest.’
Now with just a few minutes remaining I can’t believe it’s about to end.
Wonderful, simply wonderful interview by both people.
This inzerview is so fulfilling. Steve is so talented, intelligent and such a sweetheart
When Steve talked about how he tried to make his jokes on the Daily Show at his character's expense when the people didn't deserve to be made fun of ---- this is why EVERYONE says he's the nicest guy ever
Well...I didn't think this man could get any more adorable, but after watching this I discovered that I was totally wrong. What a great guy!
What a wonderful, talented, man. 😊 He's so delightful. 💘
I love Jenelle, she's the best interviewer-wish she could do all of their interviews.
I love him.... like seriously. He’s so humble and sweet.
Steve Carell showing his class and good heart with his take on the Daily Show.
i just want a whole hour of him sharing stories from The Office
This is an absolutely great guy. Steve is a true class act.
Just seeing his face brightens up my day
IKR? His smile makes my life better!
Great parents. Let your kids do what they love. What else matters in life than doing what you love?
Steve is one of my favorites. He’s sooo cute, and funny, and just interesting.
Stevie looks so much as Linus Torvalds. He has the very smile. I wish they made a biography movie about Linus with Stevie as him.
He said he was unknown when he made The Forty Year Old Virgin, but I remembered him from Bruce Almighty. He stuck out in every one of his scenes.
I had no idea this talented man is so sweet, humble and kind.
He needs to do this again! It was a great interview! I wanna see him talk about the big short and vice because these movies were so good and very interesting to see him play. Edit: and “Beautiful Boy” that movie is incredible and such a heartfelt amazing film
Ahh he's brilliant, so lovely, great conversation, this channel needs a lot more love and attention, thanks for these!
what a wonderful, wonderful human being
I fell in love with Steve Carell when I first saw Seeking a Friend ❤👏👍
That is my favorite Steve Carell character/movie 💔
Also watch Dan in Real Life.
He is ridiculously humble, what a lovely guy ☺️
I love this interviewer!!
I feel in love with Steve Carell
Shout out to psych nurses!! 🙌🏾 🙌🏾 I was a night shift psychiatric nurse for years.
With all that fame its great to see how hes still a humble guy.
He went to college 15 minutes away from me. Denison university in Granville Ohio. Steve is the man.
The true best actor of 2014. His performance in Foxcatcher is truly incredible and one of the best of the 2010s.
Also it begins at 8:45
And Foxcatcher discussion is at 1:22:00
Lol he legit blushed when they talked about his wife
Me too-wha a beautiful sweetheart 🥰💕
he remains hydrated
I love him so much. He is incredibly talented and intelligent and great... Fantastic interview!!

So humble so cool🌱‼️💙💙💙
He is so much fun.Love him so much.
throughout the interview I was thinking how nice Steve Carell is.
Such a big fan of his work and inspired by him, thank you for this!
I'm not an actor at all but just hearing how to deal with stuff on the spot is eye opening for someone that has social anxiety
Wow. He has great parents. Take notes people.
I really love this guy.
Steve Carell starting off with "introducing" his Family at 2:39, it took me straight to lyrics of 'Baby Driver' by Simon & Garfunkel..."my daddy was the family bassman, my mamma was an engineer, and I was born one dark gray morn'..." 😁✌🏻

Good for him. I wish him the best.

Love Jenelle!! So glad to see her again, from this and from Adam Driver’s interview :,)
Amazing interview. Jenelle is a great interviewer, she listened to Steve and let him talk.

Great stuff!
Awesome interview!
I knew he left The Office because of the writing!! It got so weak toward the end. (He was much more polite about it though.)
George Roberts Now we know :-)
Ikr!! That just makes me love him even more, because I feel the office looses its esence in the last seasons, and knowing he feels the same way is great
I thought he left because his contract wasnt renewed. I guess both excuses work
Great interview! First seeing this '22 - Woody Allen mentions gets a much different response now.... Anyhow, Carell is the best!
OMG I was literally watching the Benihana Christmas on Netflix when he said that.
His voice 😍
So soft, enthusiastic and sexy 🤪
This interviewer asks awesome questions.
Why was Steve never on Curb? He would've been genius! Maybe too busy with other things such as Office and films. But I would've loved to see him and Larry together
I use to write training for a corporation, improve is a wonderful learning tool.
I love these too
Video starts at 8:40 :)
"History majors make the least money." I have a history degree. He speaks the truth. 😕
heh.. so much for learning from history (and not repeating mistakes)
just kidding bro.. sorry to hear about your income (or lack thereof) 😅
Steve and Nancy will probably be the best parents 😂
The Office talk starts at 50:39
What a gentleman!
There's only a few actors that IS their character. Steve being Michael is still Steve.
Carell, come on already- ..... Go to Krasinski's house and watch the British Office! You gotta see it!
As an actor, and I hate auditioning; it's the worst!
I love all of these conversations but unfortunately the sound levels are pretty brutal.
He’s so beautiful!
35:04 that's some serious manifestion trick
He seems very Chicago to me, even though I know he's from Massachusetts.
02:04 Why did the audience take offense to Jennelle's John Hughes joke? Hughes died 17 years after Curly Sue. It wasn't as if Curly Sue was his last film due to his untimely death
He’s so goodlookong with age
Mt husband and I love, love, love Steve.
She called Little Miss Sunshine a drama more than once... did she see a different cut of that movie? It was funny as fuck, man. I loved that movie.
Ryan Gosling didn't think he was funny? He is hilarious in The Nice Guys. Love that film.
Burt Wonderstone is amazing. I love that movie.
Keanu Reeves vs. Steve Carell in an epic battle of niceness. Who will win?! 🥋😂
Starts at 8:45
46:17 That's what she said
50:37 for the Office
Legend!
History makers make less money? Er, not in my case! I do, however, love Steve Carell!
Wow I could of gone to this if I un -froze my SAG membership at the time . I used to always go to these !
I personally LOVED The Incredible Burt Wonderstone! Jim Carrey as a magician too?! What's not to like?!
Take a look at Steve’s upper body, he has a great, no, fantastic physique! He did a joke with Stephen Colbert where Steve is bare chested and plays Fabio. Hah!Fabio didn’t even have any hair on his chest! Steve is very (gorgeously) buff! Whah!
I’m gonna have to look this up now 😍🤤
I think they have editted sth out of this video, the caption does not fit the video
Guess I'm one of those other three who actually enjoyed the incredible Burt Wonderstone 🤣
Watching this on a Sunday night...
:O :)
Coincidence?
Fuck, yes.
Good interview?
I refer you to my previous answer.
such an underrated comment
how many of you remember stephen colbert in THE OFFICE?
1:24:37 He is so cute!!
At when do they talk about the second city gun improv part?
+Kevin 10:55
Hi Steve Carell I want to stay I like the movie of the despicable me you all did good job.

33:00 and 20:26 :)
Multiple times she referred to Little Miss Sunshine as a drama... drama? That movie was so funny, was it supposed to be a drama?
HAHAHAHA "did you want a spit bucket?"
