Oh my goodness sameee!! I finished my starter locs on December 28, literally a couple days ago because my first set was also too small in my opinion. (112 locs) Now I have 74 starter locs and i’m so excited for the journey🙂

I decided to restart my locs on the 31st of January (did them myself). I didn’t like the size the first time around when I went to a loctician (were too big). In other words, one month is approaching fast & I’m excited for my first retwist. I’m excited for your journey as well! Can’t wait to see how yours flourish. ☺️
Using conditioner on locs is pretty different from person to person. Most people I have encountered do not use any conditioner on their locs and if they do, it is a spray kind that is water-based. The reason being is because for most people, conditioner causes buildup because it can easily get stuck in the locs, especially if your locs are thicker. I am personally indifferent to using conditioner on locs. I never plan on using it because I am just fine without it but others feel they need to use it. It is mostly trial and error to see what works for your hair.
Lmao your face in the mirror I’m only 4 weeks into my journey and I had to wash my hair bc I started my starter locs on dirty hair and my mom had to retwist some of them and fix the parts I was so mad bc I’m so tender headed like stop parting my hair please 😭
