Yay! Thank you so much Carnage!❤️❤️❤️ I absolutely loved it. The action of this movie is awesome. And obviously the final shootout never gets old. I really hoped you enjoyed it too. Another awesome birthday video gift from you!
I like this movie because it represented a dramatic shift in tone and story from the traditional Westerns of the 50s and 60s. There’s no black and white morality and family-friendly violence. The protagonists are desperate criminals trying to survive and the violence is portrayed realistically and brutally. I also love this because many characters use weapons that are not the traditional selection of Colt revolvers and Winchester repeating rifles- they use semi-automatic pistols, pump-action shotguns, bolt-action rifles, and machine guns. These were “new age” weapons and are part of the movie’s theme of the Wild West as they know it dying out.
Up until 'The Wild Bunch' studios were still operating under the 'Hayes Code' which dictated story and visuals. Sam Peckinpah felt the American movie audience was more sophisticated.
I couldn't help but giggle at the stock shouts and grunts here and there, amazing effects and action though! I do still super appreciate censor kitty though, believe it or not. Also, I love the little nod at the start with the headshot confetti of the Lego grunt. Ah, the memories!
Well ain't this a nice surprise. One of the greatest westerns ever made. That final shootout is one of the best in movie history So, you guys gonna do westerns this week?
This film was amongst the most deserving of a Carnage Count. Peckinpah puts the "Wild" in "Wild West", for that final shootout truly was epic. May I request Walter Hill's 'Extreme Prejudice'? It's an homage or sorts to this film but I find the final shootout even wilder.
Some scenes and some locations are re-used for another movie named 100 Guns starring Raquel Welch & Jim Brown . I love those old westerns . The only thing that is hilarious that machine gun seems to have unlimited ammo lol
This is an awesome western. I love it. Great story, great characters, and awesome fights. The cast is gold. John Wayne hated this film and said it killed the west.
I love what you can hear the Looney Tunes gunshots and The Body fall with grunt and breaking glass. Sound effects even though this is a very violent movie we even hear the Willhelm scream
This is really wild, ever more than i thought. And the final shootout....wow ! My propositions : Django(1966), The Great Silence(1969), Red Sun(1971) and Keoma(1976).
I guess this august should be westerns since young guns ii celebrates its 30th anniversary on August 1st. This also can pay tribute to ennio morricone for his contribution in the western genre. And many more...
Supposedly they fired more blanks in the ending shootout during filming then actual live ammunition fired during the entirety of the Mexican Revolution, Sam Peckinpah went above and beyond! I don't think it's even possible to top that ending shootout if some executive comes up with the dimwitted idea of remaking this.
I heard Mel Gibson is in pre-production for a remake. Mr. Gibson is one of the few directors who could do this justice; I hope the studios don't interfere!
I guess they were only counting the on-screen deaths, because they didn't count the bounty hunters at the end either. Sykes' final conversation with Thornton makes it clear they didn't survive.
If zach snyder will film the wild bunch: General mapache:save my marthita, gringo!!! Pike:oh,the name of my dead sweetheart was martha!!! Let's drink tequila and have a toast for her....ayayayayaaayyyy!!! The end....
Nice job Carnage Counts! It has been awhile since i saw a Western-video from you. Could you do Prisoners (2013) with Hugh Jackman? P.S Can i have a request? I also want a video dedicated to me. Could you do that when you make a video of Beyond Valkyrie: dawn Of The New Reich (2016) please? Let me know.
Yay! Thank you so much Carnage!❤️❤️❤️ I absolutely loved it. The action of this movie is awesome. And obviously the final shootout never gets old. I really hoped you enjoyed it too. Another awesome birthday video gift from you!
Happy birthday! That final shootout just goes on and on, I love it! Have a great day!
Enlightener of Cryptozoology happy birthday to you🎉🎉🎉.
Happy birthday
Enlightener of Cryptozoology Happy Birthday! This is a great film.
Happy birthday!
Bloodier movies have been made since the 60s but The Wild Bunch can still be pretty brutal.
It's the MASTERPIECE of violence!

@@259Den3 And he was right.
What year is it supposed to be taking place in

I wish we had time for westerns!
@@CarnageCounts Can you do: Invader Zim Enter the Florpus (2019) Carnage Counts
It was for my birthday as I requested since it is one of the greatest and of my multiple favorite action movies.
Wild Bunch indeed. Runnin around and shootin each other, how can you NOT call that wild?
This film was amongst the most deserving of a Carnage Count. Peckinpah puts the "Wild" in "Wild West", for that final shootout truly was epic.
May I request Walter Hill's 'Extreme Prejudice'? It's an homage or sorts to this film but I find the final shootout even wilder.
I was thinking that movie being a video too, Peter Frank!😃😃
Never seen so many people die from being shot in the shoulder lol. Another great video from CC.
Ah yes, one of the cowboy movies that features John Browning's masterpieces, ol' reliable 1911 and M1897 Trench Sweeper
2 of his iconic firearms designs. With the 1911 old girl still made and fighting. Can’t keep her down, and likely for another 100 years.
@@enlightenerofcryptozoology8761 Yeah... God bless John Moses Browning, buddy
Hahaha , Love the Halo Reference in the intro, with the surprise Skull xD
Some scenes and some locations are re-used for another movie named 100 Guns starring Raquel Welch & Jim Brown .

You missed the bounty hunters' deaths. They're off-screen, but Sykes later confirms they're dead.
that's not how we count things on this channel.
That guy on the maximum gun though, absolutely vicious.
Gatlin gun kidd...
No it was a maxim
Thx for this carnage I love movies with guns in and death
The final massacre beats still everything.
Am I strange having teardrops in my eyes when Pike mows down everything in pure wrath and desperation?
1:34 Sound effect confirmed...
Wilhelm Scream
One of my favorite movies ever, thanks for doing this!!
Best western ever made with some the best actors ever !!!
This is an awesome western. I love it. Great story, great characters, and awesome fights. The cast is gold. John Wayne hated this film and said it killed the west.
Wayne wanted the West to be noble; Peckinpah portrayed it was gritty, violent, and without honor.
I can see why he hated this, because for years he had been doing that same kind of glorified Western
I love what you can hear the Looney Tunes gunshots and The Body fall with grunt and breaking glass. Sound effects even though this is a very violent movie we even hear the Willhelm scream
Nice! Been waiting for this one.
CC called shotgun. Nailed it. ✌
That final shootout reminds me a lot of the climactic jungle shootout at the end of "Rambo (2008)".
Sounds i heard
85%: Bang Bang, Pow Pow
10%: Some random words
5%: Star Troopers laser
Mainly 85% bang bang
The white buffalo is another great movie to check out. Great western classic
This is probably the most batshit insane western ever made
I like this movie. We see how this characters are dommed since the beggining but we still root for them, somehow to get a redemption.
Oh boy Wild West here I come !
Giddy up now little doggies!
Giddy up now little kitties !
Just stick with doggies first instead.
Ok go doggies go ! You heard what the captain say ?
I meant giddy up not the sailor says.
This is really wild, ever more than i thought.
And the final shootout....wow !
My propositions : Django(1966), The Great Silence(1969), Red Sun(1971) and Keoma(1976).
Sam Peckinpah ,master of carnage
Only OGs remember when this channel and all of its videos. Also, I remember subbing to this channel on an alt account at 20k. Great to see you grow
Excellent choice. Please tell me you're planning on doing more Sam Peckinpah movies.
I'm impressed you were able to keep count!
The good: Arthur
The bad: Micha
The ugly: also Micha
Love these old shootout movies

Finally something interesting
fantastic video dear friend really enjoyed watched
thanks, PZ! :)
I adore the goofy way they fall after being “shot”
Stay tuned for Cowboy action on the Carnage Counts channel!

Nice video again, CC! By the way, I published a new gallery video this week. And I am pretty sure you will find this one enjoyable.
Can you do: Invader Zim Enter the Florpus (2019) Carnage Counts
Now we know where part if not most of the inspiration for Red Dead Redemption 2 came from.
There’s even a character named Dutch I wonder if rockstar watched this film
I remember when I requested this 😢 you actually did it Carnage Counts senpai!!!
How long ago was that?
Carnage Counts 2 months ago! I made the request on your jumanji carnage count!
300 carnage count
Apparently more blanks were fired during the making of this movie than real bullets during the events it portrays
Hey Carnage do you think you could do a Rose Red kill count? That was my very first and favorite Stephen King movie
That was BEAUTIFUL!
Snakehead swamp (2014) carnage count
The Good, The Bad And The Ugly, The Wild Bunch, My Name Is Trinity
I WAS JUST PLAYING RED DEAD REDEMPTION
Wolf creek carnage count
I thought this was gonna be a brady bunch parody
Thanks for my recommendation 🥰
Also what about Bullitt 1968?
This channel is best for counting kills of shitty movies
Damn, no wonder this movie is called the Wild Bunch.
Oh one of my favorite westerns
One of the greatest movies ever made, without this movie red dead redemption would not have exist.
I did not think that at the beginning there were so many deaths
Supposedly they fired more blanks in the ending shootout during filming then actual live ammunition fired during the entirety of the Mexican Revolution, Sam Peckinpah went above and beyond! I don't think it's even possible to top that ending shootout if some executive comes up with the dimwitted idea of remaking this.

@@259Den3 Considering how much chaos he filmed for Hacksaw Ridge on just a 40 million dollar budget, he might be able to pull it off.
Man you know this movie had a strong influence on the Red Dead Redemption games.
Sam Peckinpah could have directed Saving Private Ryan
Can you do the magnificent seven movie series please
Borgnine is the last one to go is satisfying for some reason.
"wild west"
While you're doing absolute classics from this era, have you done any of the Billy Jack movies yet?
There were 147 kills in The Wild Bunch.
Ernest Borgnine went on, be on SpongeBob 30 years after this movie

Can you please make a carnage count on the movie called"the hug?"

Carnage count my babysitter is a vampire series
For whatever reason, I think it that a band like a sabaton should have made a song on this the west dying out as it did
You cut out the fact the young kid killed the hostages when they tried to run
I guess they were only counting the on-screen deaths, because they didn't count the bounty hunters at the end either. Sykes' final conversation with Thornton makes it clear they didn't survive.
Must've been super hard to count that last shootout

I think there was also the hostages in the bank
0:20 edges wow!
I guess everyone has unlimited ammo
My favorite western
Peckinpah was pretty ballsy back then
He sure was ballsy back in 1969 for doing this film with such graphic violence but Warner Bros. seven arts allowed it
He was balls to releasing this
Shotgun time
Do Naruto any season you want
A Blood Meridian adaptation should be leaps and bounds bloodier and more graphic than this.
