Noneed Toknow60 - Maybe not directly, however I can see how wind will effect the whole sprinkler system and how ancillary components will ultimately influence pump sizing and selection.
Unless you have a variable speed pump you cannot boost discharge pressure. Wind speed is not constant so it is futile trying to calculate pressure versus wind resistance to gauge upwind throw. @@Bhatmann
Does the pump curve add a factor to account for the pump loosing efficiency as it ages? As the excellent example does not discuss this matter. I have seen some examples online that add 20% to total dynamic head for pump loss.
For peak flow rate, can I simply add up ALL the GPMs (flow rate) of all the emitters? For friction loss calculation, do I need to factor in the friction loss of secondary hose and capillary tubes?
Thanks very easy and simple application
Hey dude,, you've made the best sizing pump video ever.
thanks one of the best vieo that i have seen.
Well done, it is clear now
It 's easy to be understood. Thank you :)
Great tutorial ! Will use it to train. Thanks
VERY INFORMATIVE THANK YOU SO MUCH? I WANT TO KNOW WHAT IS the role of using hydrant valve.
i cant thank you enough.
The best ever
Please discuss wind impact on pump selection.
What is ‘wind impact on pump’ mean???
@@Bhatmann like high winds reduce sprinkler coverage area so more pressure from pump will be required
No such thing as wind impact on a pump. @@Bhatmann

thank you so much for this very simple and informative tutorial...my years of studies were just explained in this 6 minute clip..deymmmn...lols
That's great to hear! Glad you found our video to be helpful.

Sir what is CJ101B201??
What do I need to do to monitor the pump
