No $900 3d printer, no 3rd party hard to find over priced stuff from other youtubers to get, no over yapping, just watch the work happen... PERFECT video and love this raw format of building something without it taking expensive shit to do it.
Doesn't look massively far off what some service devices look like. Everything's programmed and may need maintained... even (or especially) the coffee machine.
It's very impressive how you got everything packed in there. From the viewpoint it looks like everything is packed so tight. Gives you the feeling that it won't close or fit everything comfortably.
This is amazing. I don't understand the hate against you not using a 3D printer. Not everyone has ready access to one. I love this cyberdeck because it can be assembled without having to print custom parts and if things break it is easy enough to swap out individual parts. This is like you said, a truly 'ready to go' cyberdeck that is decently equipped for most things one could need. Well done. Subbed.
3d printing is not all the time the to go I like it but I still do metal and woodworking because you get to do it by and not by 3d modeling and get it into the printer so it can do the job for you
Nice, all this without a 3D printer or even just a dremel. I was never able to free hand things as nicely as this, which is precisely why I got a 3D printer to make my cases for me.
Honestly, this is one of the coolest builds I've seen. Forget about the portable PS4 and other crazy UA-cam builds. This looked so easy and cool and waaaaaaay more useful than a PS.. Gives off some dystopian vibes, like it could be a machine needed for a mission in Fallout or something 👀 Very cool ❤️
a heat shield for that wiring going to the screen will add a nice final touch. You can spray paint it any color to match the build. I would go with red or just keep it black.
You definitely have experience in this. I tried to do something similar and it’s still on my shelf. I got every component but I overthink how to put things together and that’s what’s causing delays. Very nice project since you can use for testing also.
Bruuuh!! This is sick AF!! I build escape room based on rpi and arduinos. This thing will come in handy, I’m ordering everything I need right now!! Thanks again man, this is awesome!!
Coolest custom job i've seen in a long time. So much packed into a small space. If only real life had malware injectors by port. Plug in using your case > run a command on raspberry pi > *hacker voice** "I'm In".
This is such a cool concept! The mini cyberdeck portable computer looks futuristic and super functional. Loved how you showcased its features-perfect for tech enthusiasts and creators on the go!
There are three types of people watching this right now: people who think this is neat, people who think this is lame, and pentesters drooling on their keyboards.
Thanks, i was going to make it without the gpio but i was abble to fit it there, it is going to be usefull to test code for a future project with stepper motors and ps4 remote control :)
I use 2 of those keyboards, they are really good for the size and cost. One I use to be able to keep typing one handed when my cat decides to sleep across my desk and rest its head on my arm
You know, cyberdecks always made me think about hardened civilian mini computers with storage of information and communication in case the main internet goes down. Things such as history, survival and health guidelines, shelter guidelines, and even some entertainment to keep moral up could be implemented in these.
@@Don_of_yvm True in post-apocalyptic worlds electric power would be one of the hardest things to come by on tap, but, I'm sure someone could do this could rig up to rudimentery, hand crank or paddle generator.

Still pissed that the netbook era of the 00's died out so quickly before we got some better specs. Those were the perfect size for me, now you'd be hard pressed to find a good 10.1' laptop (lenovo still makes a nice one but still, not nearly as many options compared to all the massive 15-17in screens theyre pushing these days).
