Maestro Sunil Santha taught students to sing this song at DehiyagathaVillage School for a school functionand myself and my brother Renil provided accompaniment and I still remember Maestro Sunil Santha asking me to play tune of the last verse of the song as the interlude. I am very proud that I got the opportunity to work with this Great Artist who brought a great change for Sinhala Music

Guys, you all are correct. Both Ivor Dennis and Sunil Santha sing here on this version, recorded at Radio Ceylon (then, now SLBC). I had the good fortune to associate Uncle Sunil as a family friend in my teens.

When Sunil Santha returned to broadcasting in 1967, he did sang some of his early songs to a new melody. The voice is Ivor Dennis's. But I think you could also hear Sunil Santha's voice in the background. MJA
