Most expensive 2 second cameo 🔥
You guys never disapoint.
Always great content from KhanAcademy
THAT is an excellent question enginowich.
GOAT
Ryan Chiu just why
Okay, but this doesn't mention the air around the skin. Doesn't the heat from the air also cause the water to evaporate, thereby cooling down the air around the skin? (that is the principle behind swamp coolers.) So maybe there are two effects going on to cool the body, the loss of heat from body going toward evaporation, and the cooling air right around the skin?
thanks❤
Evaporative cooling
Yea Khan is awesome
because water improves heat loss, and if the wind is blowing it takes away the heat that is close to your skin and that allows new heat from your body to come out and that lowers your body temperature
Its 2021 and Lebron still a legend!
Always
its 2023 and lebron is still a legend
LeBron!
why do some of the droplet molecules have to move slow in the first place, why aren't they all moving fast 🤔🤔🤔
They are lazy
@@joeKisonue 😂😂😂😂
because heat energy is directly proportional to kinetic energy and some molecules has higher or some has lower heat energy
So would I cool down more if I wipe the sweat away, and then produce new sweat that can absorb more energy then the already heated up sweat that I just wiped away?
As long as I can produce more sweat [having a readily available source of water], I guess it would be better to wipe it away?
OR is it good to leave it on, because it's already so hot that the molecules will be more likely to escape than fresh sweat? Only problem I would think is that it's not going to absorb much new heat from the skin because it's already just as hot as the skin so there is almost an equilibrium?...
You gotta ride around on a scooter to accelerate evap
I been trying to come to a conclusion as well whether its best to leave the sweat as it is or wipe it off;
say when we are running a marathon in a hot environment > the skin is exposed to the sunlight so the temperature of skin rises, running energy itself also causes temperature to rise in the skin.
So sweat is released onto the skin to take care of the temperature rise. The water in the sweat act as 'heat absorbers'. > it absorbs the hot energy and vibrates really fast with other hot water molecules and eventually escapes the skin (evaporation) carrying the hot energy away from your skin into the air.
So based on that, I assume its best to leave the sweat on as it is so that it acts as a 'barrier' and continues the heat absorption and evaporation process contionously.
If we wipe it off and there is no sweat on the surface of the skin acting as a heat absorber, it would take x amount of TIME to release sweat into the skin and start the whole process again. so I think 'time' is the major factor here, best to leave sweat on and continue exercising so that it continously absorbs heat energy and escapes into the air leaving your body cooler.
Whereas if you wipe it off, the skin will be exposed to sunlight during that small time frame and rise skin temperature again.
@@markg8125 you are great
@@markg8125thanks, good kind of thinking
If you wipe the sweat away, then the body produces more sweat then there will be a loss of more water or fluid content in the plasma and it will lead to dehydration which may lead to heat strokes also
So to prevent excessive fluid loss it's better to not wipe it away

Wasn't this video uploaded earlier? I definitely remember seeing this before.
they reuploaded it with LeBron asking the question
@@CiphersVII ur 7 years late on responding to miceblue425 btw...
@@abaddonnoddaba9153 it's funny but UA-cam comment section is a time machine
Because the wind picks up the water molecules as it moves by your skin.
so cool!!! thanks sal
@Micebule425. Maybe this video Was edited and put back on the Internet.
i love u Legoat
Or, simply by its chemical name of "Dihydrogenmonoxide" for clarity's sake, why not refer to it by that name?
Wow
These end abruptly. Is there something missing?
No, he was filming another video after this and forgot to cut it.
Interesting
Why not refer to water as "HOH" as opposed to "H2O" because it is both an acid *and* a base at the same exact time?
Are you acoustic
@@F-m.a What does *that* mean?
darn u..
6th what do i win
Because the air is cooler than the water in the surface of your skin, the molecules of your sweat will transfer the heat that came out of your muscles into the air, cooling you down...
What if the temperature is hotter than your skin? Evaporative cooling still works regardless of the temperature.
why are there only 39 comments??
Yes bjk
