Walked the length of the guided busway from Ellenbrook to Leigh many times now. One of the most successful transport projects of recent times. I use the bus too of course! 🚌
Ooh I lived near Leigh in Lowton in the 60’s , best place on earth 🌍 , I went to St Joseph’s RC school in Mather lane and went to daily dinner time mass , then went to Notre Dame in Wigan , we were religious family , very ❤️ ,there is video on here ,a drive from Plank lane through to Slag lane , that is where I lived 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Since this was made the route has now changed! it doesn't run into City Centre anymore! it runs Down Oxford Road with all the other 5,000 buses an hour!!!!! Ha. to the Royal Hospital, why they needed to change this as on my last two trips to the terminus I was the only passenger !! . At busy times the trip can take an hour from Leigh, once you get on the A6 past Salford Crescent to the town Hall you are in the full traffic! as for being on a Guided busway this is less than 4 miles of the route! it can be very frustrating! Manchester has a very bad Traffic problem! and until some of the traffic is curtailed it will just get worse.
Watching it on the big screen you can see that it is filmed at a wide angle as lampposts are slightly bent, is there a feature to turn this off? I have noticed this on some other videos that must have been filmed with similar cameras, although I think it is good to film on a wide angle for this type of video a lot of my videos are hand held outside footage that wouldn't require a wide angle so much. Did you know that youtube can let you add music too without any need for copyright?
0:16 typical silly small car driver holding everyone up due to bad driving. Great video. Loved watching it. Thank you for sharing. 😁 😁
astards. Clearly a buslane.
Even more silly big car drivers. 😁

Great video mate! The full caboosh too! Didn't get to see the route between the busway and Manchester myself from the top front so enjoyed it then!

That was very cool and well filmed.
more like 40 mins real time it's x3
Why did this go northern quarter? Did they used to do that? Now they go down oxford road to the hospital
0:16 bloody fiat :P
FIAT = Fix It Again Tony
Fiat drivers can’t drive at all.
I hope they got a fine for that. They should’ve done.
Wow, that bus driver isn't fucking about, is he ?
its good service but stagecoach 34/34a is comfy on e400mmc
Why didn't they convert they railway line into a tram line with tram trains instead if ripping it up and turning it into a guided busway.
It’s more expensive to build a tramline than a Crap Guided busway
