McIlhatton

This is a song that was written by Bobby Sands. It was make famous by Christy Moore who recorded it for his "Ride On" album of 1984. This is his version I am doing here. It a song about a man called Mickey McIlhatton who was sent to Crumlin Road jail in Belfast for making poitín. He came from the Glens of Antrim and was as well-known to the people of the area, not only for his "holy water" but his fiddle playing. Great song.
