I have been enjoying watching this series and shouting at the screen "Your spells are out of range!" or "Xibalba is in the caves, casting spells at you". Or put some bodyguards on your mages to slow down the infernal disease spam. He only needs construction 5 to craft blood boosters to get the Onaqui to blood 5. Even easier if he gets construction 7 for the dagger. Your siege of Mekone is going to take ages, he's going to have zillions of 1g scorpions inside and you have low numbers of elite troops. Use some gems to summon monsters to help with your siege. Even with your vermin swarm it takes ages to starve out a garrison. It's holding your main army's attention for ages.

Haha yeah, definitely made some big mistakes this game 😅 I've always been on the watching end of shouting at my screen, but now the shoe is on the other foot! This game is too complex for my pea-brain!

The obvious answer to assassins is heavy patrolling but I've no idea how effective or economical that is
