Hi Teapotone. I'm new to this channel, but not a biker. I heard about you from Trucker Jenko, who not only drives lorries around the country, but also him and his two brothers have BMWs 1200, but have just started with their UA-cam. Looking at the road you are on, me and my hubby (no, I'm not Thomas, he's my hubby, I'm his wife, Barbara), but we used to do a lot of camping and caravanning. One time (we were using frame tents at the time), we took a route across the mountains from Austria to Yugoslavia as it was then, to go to Lake Bled. Boy, what a ride. I'm so glad we were on the cliff wall side as we went up and up. When we got to the top, with all the hairpin bends behind us, we could not see the floor of the valley. We were so high up. My hubby was doing the driving, a Peugeot 305, 1300cc. and as we were going up, he told me that he had only one gear left, reverse. It was the only time I didn't take photos. It was one of those rides that my thought was if I took a deep breath, we'd go over the edge🤣
Cheers Andy, aye was gutted I couldn’t do the whole road as the northern section in the mountains is simply amazing! Can’t wait to see your roadtrip vids from the recent trip, looked incredible 👏👍
I love your video ! But I highly recommend you to go to CHEILE BICAZULUI ROAD !!! Is open all the time , is short but intense adrenaline !!! Is the biggest natural long cannion in Europe !!! Is located on the east of Romania , but I also recommend to visit the biggest shelter for bison 🦬 in Europe ( Neamt county ) , many of castles starting with 1ooo year and more ) a lot of nature and genuine animals, food and many more !!! And all the people are very very beautiful and good food !!! Try this experience !!!! From Romania with love ❤️ !!!
Beautiful country, only thing wrong with these videos is that I m not there too. I have a two brothers racing exhaust on my Suzuki vstrom 1000 sounds great. 😎👍🍻
I haven't seen a Bear in person yet. You seeing them on a bike is pretty scary to be honest! I'd be nervous in a car/truck! I've seen the videos of animals opening doors and some Bears bend the doors down and break the windows, after food! Yikes! Glad your safe and sound. Good luck and best wishes! What a beautiful place Romania is! I've enjoyed watching Bruce take care.
Loved the video and the road, glad you brought your drone with you. I did Transfagarasan in the ca a few years ago but not on a bike yet. You must have appreciated the return-to-home feature on your drone so you didn't need to hike with the bears looking for the drone. :)
Great stuff Bruce. I’m just back from riding from N Ireland to Romania to ride the transfargarasan transalpina etc. just brilliant to see your vid today after we returned on 24th Aug and 4557 brilliant miles !! Keep em coming Sir 👌👌👏👏😎
Working my way through your back catalogue and enjoying it very much. This part of the world really appeals to me. Slovenia looks gorgeous. BTW every bear you see on the bike is a magical and somewhat terrifying experience. It never becomes something normal.
I was absolutely gutted for you the pass wasn't open.. but at least you've ridden it before. Amazing footage as always, your editing skills are top notch! Cheers 🍻
We have loads of bears - you did good by staying away from them. There's people who stop and feed bears- (big or small) which is an absolutely stupid thing to do.
What a cracking episode, great roads and some of the comments from you about yourself or rather riding were amusing. You certainly do live the dream, I'd love to do what you do full time, sod working a boring repetitive 9 - 5 job
Then do it bud - make the change. I’ve worked hard at this for over 10yrs to build a brand, reputation, and community which has allowed me to make the leap and go for it. If you want to do it, YOU have to make it happen, nobody will do it for you. GO for it 😉👍
Just got a Stealth Exhaust from Fuel for the Triple Black GS, sounds awesome, lots of added MWAAAAAAPPP ! Half the size and half the weight 😎 Didn't see any bears though 😭 The scenery looks stunning there, looking forward to more of the same, ride safe 😀
All I can say is thank you Mr teapot I started watching you and chops and you have given me the inspiration to go do my bike test Thank you hope I'll meet u in the tarmac some day
Wow definitely beautiful roads gutted it was closed for you , love how you turned round to see if a bear wanted to eat you , another good watch as ever keep up the good work 🙏
Could you imagine needing to pop to the shops if you were ol' Vlad, 1400 steps just to get off the castle steps! 😀 All the bears, must be weird just seeing them mooching about.... I think I'd brick myself lol... def would want to pick your pee breaks carefully! Frustrating to have had to turn around, but hey... a cracking route to do a re-run on! 🙂 That last castle looked proper my thing, I do love a good castle!
Ha Ha you’d love Romania then Pete! Such a great feeling to see bears in the wild, but yes also slightly nerve wracking too. Would certainly make me a bit jumpy if the bike broke down and I was stuck out there for a while! 😬🤣
@@teapotone I've heard it is incredible for the historical buildings, and very dramatic landscapes too. Hahaha... yeah I can imagine.... A good reason for a BMW! 😀
Cracking vid Bruce; loved the droneage in this one and the Bears👍. Shame the TFG was shut but at least you got to discover 73C and I guess you will just have to go back another day when its open again......please take me with you 😎😎
Loving the series so far, looks amazing. Glad you made this a longer video, 12 minutes just isn’t long enough for trip vids. Looking forward to the rest of the trip. 👍
Thank you for those sounds when you come across gravel unexpectedly or ride wide. I don't feel so bad when I do the same thing. Ha Ha. I have been riding for 53 years although not so much lately.😃
I've done both as well. I prefer the Transalpine. I met many bears. It's getting worse with contacts and some people even feed them in the towns or at the top like Transfagarashan etc. No more state feeding at remote spots. And trash all over. Sad state. But really wild and beautiful country. Btw. Dracula, or rather Vlad Tepes didn't really stay on Bran, but another castle not that far away. But a spooky place in the dark it is ;) He is burried in a church he had built on a small island, with a secret tunnel to mainland. He got beheaded by the evil turkish. Thanks for sharing. Kind regards.
Bit like the Canadian Rockies around Calgary & DC, dodging bears is a national pass time. Is there an other live stream/podcast with the boy band coming up anytime soon??????
Loved the vid Bruce, always enjoy your trip videos (I know they don't get the top views, but I like em') so please keep on making them 👍That new J&H exhaust sounds awesome, I hope they expand their range to other bikes soon.
I know sunshine and scenery help, but the quality of this footage is epic! It must take some seriously powerful kind of computer to edit it all together. Stunning upload buddy, very much enjoyed 👍🏻👍🏻😎
Man Bruce, I have to say that I'm a bit lost for words, you've already used all the adjectives I know 😉. A bummer that the road was closed but you've made the best out of it. The bears have been very calm, I guess they're either used to tourists or they've thought that you're one of them 😂. Thank you for these beautiful views. It's always a pleasure to see you working so hard for us! No pun intended! 😁
Amazing series this mate. Will you do a break down of fuel costs etc? I would also love an update on the GS, mileage, maint you have needed to do etc. sweet work pal
when I tour 2 up I average 51mpg on the gsa Bruce must get more than that solo .and I would of thought he must get it serviced when he gets back as the gs has 6000 mile service intervals
Very much likes your episodes and the way your takes us through the different scenery. Especially the bears of course maybe next time a close-up video shot or something like that -;)
Awesome video. Transfagarasan would be more interesting of you ride up from the other side (from Cartiosara). I hope you enjoined your time in Romania.
I'm enjoying it wholeheartedly! We get Bruce, brews, bears, beers, beards and Beamers. It's a part of the world that I haven't seen all that much of before, so just put another set of batteries in the GoPro's and start recording.
Hi TeapotOne. While you are still in Romania, make sure you get to eat Shaorma (check Dristor Kebab), Mici (littles, grilled meat you find it almost everywhere) and Kurtos Colac (Specially in the mountains area, they are very big compared to what is in the West Europe). You'll love them and I guarantee you'll visit Romania again for those foods.
Nice video. It really is an amazing country with amazing and scenic roads, last time I went there I was on an old Yamaha R6 and part of the roads was gravel which wasn’t too nice to ride on 😂 now I’m looking for similar roads in UK as currently living there if anyone has suggestions.
absolutely amazing roads and views 👏 can't remember who said. if you haven't seen a bit of tarmac don't put your front wheel on it which has always stuck with me 🤣
Another great ride, but history is that Bram Stoker never visited Eastern Europe. Slains Castle in Aberdeenshire Scotland was his inspiration for Castle Dracula, also Whitby lay claim to some influence.

Thanks very ouch for the info, I’ll make sure I explore more of the east next time I get over to Romania 👍
Entertaining watch and interesting to see the Romanian roads.
Such a shame the Transfagarasan was closed, but still looked to be an amazing day's riding. Great series so far 👏🏻
Beautiful country, only thing wrong with these videos is that I m not there too. I have a two brothers racing exhaust on my Suzuki vstrom 1000 sounds great. 😎👍🍻
Nice one Brucey .. that looks super dooper and clearly it was ! Lovely scenery etc. So pleased for you that all is going well. Keep it up,

Mary had a little lamb, she also had a bear, I've often seen her little lamb, but I've never seen her... !

Lovely Bruce! Would love to do that road!
Brilliant. 👍
Favourite bit? Bears!
I know sunshine and scenery help, but the quality of this footage is epic! It must take some seriously powerful kind of computer to edit it all together. Stunning upload buddy, very much enjoyed 👍🏻👍🏻😎
4. You don't want to dump yourself on the road and provide nourishment for the bears.
There really were a lot of beers on the road!😄
Great vid Bruce, definitely one for my list

Excellent vid..
Thank you 👍

Go and ride durmitor in montenegdo, im from srbija and it was breathteaking….nice roads and the sinery is unreeal
Awesome , stray dogs chased us when enduro riding @transilvaniaendurotours . Do you have any links to rent bikes

Hey Bruce, is your speedo in mph or kph on this trip? Enjoying these vids
Mic of both bud, started in mph, changed to Kph at some point, then back to mph
What month was this filmed Bruce? Curious about when the road opens up fully.
Was late May
God I watch these videos and wish I could get a motorbike
