The best thing about JJN is if you talk to people who met him in private without cameras rolling, he's the same dude. All that genuine passion and love isn't an act. He's such a great ambassador for guitar because he really is having fun and that's what it SHOULD be about. I feel like I could play in front of this dude and not be judged even though he can run circles around me.
Yep, a guy I know has seen him live a couple of times and actually bumped into him in the street before a gig in England and ended up having a beer with him. He seems like a genuinely lovely guy as well as being insanely good at playing guitar.
Yeah he seems pretty real. He gets to talk about guitars, guitar players, and how it all applies to him and loves it. I’ve heard him do the same kinda interview a lot lately and he handles it like a gracious pro every time
The having his dad carve his name in the guitar is so cool. If I ever had a vintage guitar the same year my mom was born I would definitely have her do that
In a cool way, JJN views his guitars in a similar way a good Fathers views his children. Every good Father I know loves every one of of his kids. But he loves each one in a slightly different way because he TRULY LOVES EACH ONE for WHO THEY ARE AS INDIVIDUALS. None of them can ever be replaced because they are precious.. What a great interview! Thanks for making this video!
Great interview. First of all Jared is an awesome guy, and a fantastic player. Love the stories about his guitars. And 2nd you are a great interviewer. You get right into it with your guests and you're another killer guitar player. Great show. Gibson is lucky to have you as a host. Thanks.
I'd dig to jam with JJN for hours! What a beyond super cool dude! Thanks Dinesh, JJN and Gibson for an amazingly awesome vid! Right on and rock on. \m/
So glad I finally see some great player use the Klon pedal the same way I do. (I have a poor man Soul Food, but i absolutely recognize the same character). Anyway, what a great player! Cheers!
Music lives in the heart, not the head. Getting out of your own way. Feeling the music, and training your fingers to go where your musical heart wants to be, is the trick. 😉
It`s very interested, cause i'm a lefty too and a can´t play fast with pick too. I had the same problems like Jared. Unfortunately, I didn't decide to throw the Plec straight away, but only 30 years later. I think the writing hand is the Plec-hand.
I'm trying to learn and i think im going to ditch the pic also, i hear what you mean and i feel the strings better without it. so glad to listen to your ideas your a Monster ! lol
It would be so cool if Gibson did a production run of Dorthy and an Inspired by Gibson Epiphone like the Greeny Epiphone and Gibsons! Or a slight compromise would be give us the Epiphone 50s Les Paul Goldtop with P90s like the Gibson 50s Les Paul! I would buy either one of the Epiphone models!
Well it kinda makes sense to play the blues without a pick because its all about dynamics, emotion and feel however in rock and heavy music i feel a pick is generally required to get the attack needed.
JJ is a great player, he could squeeze 1000 notes in because he’s that good but he doesn’t. I’m sold on the P90 now, guess I’ll be picking up the JJ, LP. Is that another guitar!? What huh? Very versatile in the right hands. Blues power on the truss rod cover, yes!
Not taking anything away from the three JJN signature models, but come on Epiphone/Gibson Ole Red (or Dorothy) needs to be added to the line up. It makes no sense the in the current Epiphone line up there isn't a Les Paul (carved top) with p90's.
He kinda plays the blues like a classical guitar player would He rests the body on his upoer left leg so he can properly position his right hand for his style of playing He's better at being right handed than me

I get that vibe about him too. I bet he’d happily spend time helping you to improve your playing as well.
i meet him before a gig i was tech by the solo artist before his set. hes such a humble cool guy
Jared James Nichols is an inspiration - a humble guy with a great attitude and approach...
The having his dad carve his name in the guitar is so cool. If I ever had a vintage guitar the same year my mom was born I would definitely have her do that
dude, JJN is a young man. shit can u imagine all the wonderful years we got.. hell yea
Can’t dislike this cat. Pure passion
I see JJN and immediately click 👍
I do too! The guy is a modern day guitar hero!
Rock and Metal fans exist, then we hear the blues for the first time. The guitar is making such a huge comeback and i am so happy for it!
Dinesh is a great host, enjoying these videos with him. JJN is just insanely good and so much fun just to watch, he's amazing.
He is a monster guitar player, love this, congratulations 😀
Are you guys kidding me? This guy is incredible!!! I'm an instant fan.
Both Dinesh and Jared are legends! Thanks for watching

I'm a rock &metal fan but to me he's extraordinary and so special..God bless you James!
What an episode! Totally inspired me to drop the pick.
Love This Guy. He's So Inspiring. This Is an Entire Guiitar
Lesson in 1 Video. Thank You for this Video !!! ✨️✨️✨️✨️⭐️🙂
Such an inspiration, what a great upload.
Glad you enjoyed it!
What an awesome interview, JJN is such a humble dude with so much guitar wisdom
I'd dig to jam with JJN for hours! What a beyond super cool dude! Thanks Dinesh, JJN and Gibson for an amazingly awesome vid! Right on and rock on.

Great editing there boys. I lobe how his guitar changes color between questions and answers.
Man thats exactly how i play guitar still figuring out technique such just like he mentioned but so nice and inspiring to see a beast do it as well
What a player..What a guy.. 👌
So glad I finally see some great player use the Klon pedal the same way I do. (I have a poor man Soul Food, but i absolutely recognize the same character).
Anyway, what a great player!
Cheers!
Really great interview
That 53 sounds great . wow.
Please tell me that the gold top in the cabinet in the back is a GIBSON Custom Signature !!!!!
Music lives in the heart, not the head. Getting out of your own way. Feeling the music, and training your fingers to go where your musical heart wants to be, is the trick. 😉
Thank You for this. OUTSTANDING

Wow!!! What a Beast.
FANTASTIC!!!!! Thank you Sir !,,
What a player!

a black LP with no neck pickup is a killer look. What a class player
Wow ! just lovely, what a player nice guy!! Mw
The p90s are killer. My main player is a 95 r4 Gold Top. I love em...
Inspiring❤
Well it kinda makes sense to play the blues without a pick because its all about dynamics, emotion and feel however in rock and heavy music i feel a pick is generally required to get the attack needed.
He should have tried out the Bad Money..... Great interview!
Please make a Dorothy JJN Signature. It'd be so cool if you spec it the same but do it in satin nitro. I wanna own my own wear.
JJN IS 👍
Ohhh yes!
There’s a few people in Australia that would love to hear you play.
Cool guy, great player, also I'm a leftie and can relate
Jared reminds me of an English Earl, one that renounced his royalty and moved to Georgia or something like that.
I’m a lefty and I have almost the same story of playing right handed and using a pick.
Epiphone HAS to release another P90 Les Paul haha
Would be even cooler with the trapeze tailpiece
Not taking anything away from the three JJN signature models, but come on Epiphone/Gibson Ole Red (or Dorothy) needs to be added to the line up.
It makes no sense the in the current Epiphone line up there isn't a Les Paul (carved top) with p90's.
I’d like to see gibson make that red 53. JJN 53.
This guy will solve every guitar company’s tuning and intonation problems within 20 minutes.😂
Ojo al Dioni de Camela!
P90 is the king of pickups.
Dinesh its a human versin of Ash, from Sing and Sing 2.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
No thanks on the single P-90 in the bridge position. A neck P90 is just too awesome to skip.
Tone...so about some info on the pedalboard???
When JJN holds a Les Paul, it looks like a mandolin.
watch out for Hurricane Dorothy
❤🔥
I almost felt like I was watching an episode of Wayne's world
De adolescente quería ser Bonammasa de adulto quiero ser su amigo, le regaló un klon😮
imagine him and john 5 in a jam
The hair got turned up to 11 too
He kinda plays the blues like a classical guitar player would
He rests the body on his upoer left leg so he can properly position his right hand for his style of playing
He's better at being right handed than me
This dude is reprogramming me.
how is he so much bigger than that dude...
Thaqt Epiphone looking better and sounding better than the Gibson :O.. lol woot?
