That's awesome that you have all the previous owners information and what happened to the car. You would never think a Taurus would beat out some of the cars you mentioned. Thanks for showcasing your cars.
I had a 1990 in 1995. My dream car- but I wasn’t responsible enough at 21 years old to have it. I beat that car to death and couldn’t afford the maintenance, due to the constant beating it received. It looked identical to this car.
I had a black 91+ back in the late 90s. I also totaled it. Rear-ended someone. It was a sad day. I have a couple police grills for these cars, just need to get them painted.
They must be going up in value (supply and demand style) because I also had a white 91 SHO+ that I totaled around 2002 into someone driving on the wrong side of the road, on her phone, eating Taco Bell...👺 I still toy with the idea of getting another one, but I also remember the repairs, driving to Austin for a transmission (rod, not cable), and all those little idiosyncrasies that cost extra at the mechanic's. Oh who am I kidding? I want it! I want it! I want it!
Chris did you keep the auto trader that you found the SHO in? If so, fantastic and proves you truly are a collector and always have been! BTW another great video, keep em coming.
SHOs are cool but I'm sick of these seemingly being the Gen 1 86-91 Taurus and Sable model I find for sale now. I'm searching for a 1986 Ford Taurus LX station wagon in medium canyon red i want to one day restore but I just can't seem to find one anywhere. Not a good sign because this SHO here had only around 8,000 made in 1991 and there was a significantly higher number of the regular Taurus and Sable sedan and wagons made and yet I constantly find Gen 1 SHOs popping up for sale. On one area of Facebook Marketplace there was an entire page of Gen 1 SHOs and only two regular sedans on the page.
I've really only seen a couple first year (86) Taurus for sale, in the last 20 years. I think you see more sho vs standard taurus because people assumed these would be somewhat collectible. The base taurus was worked to death and junked.
@@wrapshopgarage I've seen quite a few sedans and at least a dozen wagons pop up for sale in the last 6 years but are getting scarcer. And now their value is going up a bit. On Facebook Marketplace there is a Canyon Red LX sedan, 1986, that someone wants 10,000 for. There was also a 1991 GL on the same site someone demanded 9,000.
Nice sho
I'm liking the collection videos. I would like to see them drive as well.

An actual PLUS. So many people think just the fiberglass hood = Plus.
Preach!
I enjoy seeing your collection......

@@NamasteOverHere Do It! If you do consider getting one, I'd highly recommend joining some of the SHO groups on FB....they're still out there!
I like to know about more cars interesting! Are you going to wrap any of these cars that like the black sho that's not stock?? Thanks
You don’t see very many 1st Gen SHO’s around anymore! I’m interested in seeing the pace truck. I’m a big fan of obs Chevy’s!
I’ve wanted one of those SHOs
Chris did you keep the auto trader that you found the SHO in? If so, fantastic and proves you truly are a collector and always have been! BTW another great video, keep em coming.
The auto trader is actually from 1995 when the 2nd owner purchased the car! I have a file folder full of paperwork for this car
Good car hi from Colton California
