SECEDA HIKE [4K] One of the best hikes in the DOLOMITES | ITALY

Nestled among the rugged peaks of the Dolomites the Seceda Ridgeline captivates those willing to hike up the steep trail. Fermada Towers (Torri De Fermada) erupting from Seceda's ridgeline are the most dramatic in the region. This hike offers one of the most breathtaking views in Val Gardena (Italy).
The Dolomites offer a breathtaking landscape throughout the year and are certainly among one of the most beautiful mountains in the world. Since 2008 they have been on UNESCO World Heritage List and are a series of almost vertical rock spires rising above a lush plateau dotted with alpine meadows. While such a description may seem exaggerated and stereotypical this is not the case for this hike.
We took Col Raiser cabel car from Santa Cristina with spectacular views enroute till Almhotel which is about 500 m down from the summit. The route up from Col Raiser till Seceda is about 3.5 km of easy hiking although it becomes steep at the end.
There is another cable car route from Ortisei-Furnes to reach to Seceda.
