I love watching these types of shows. Love doing research on the actors to see who they were...where they are now and if are still living.. Love the 70's vibe as well. I watch this every Saturday night on H&I. I have officially turned into my aunt who used to watch tv all night until you would see the static at the end and the national anthem played lol.....
I love it too. Love to read about the actors and how many tv shows they worked on. This is a period when there were beginning to be lots of opportunities for blacks..very gravitating and good to see storylines involving them.
There were so many good shows back then. Sure they were kinda hokie, but the lack of slow motion bullets going through brains, and the like are what made them good. Well, that and an almost complete lack of PC.

I can't believe this made it to UA-cam, and wasn't censored for being racist with stereo types. I guess they just saw the thumbnail and thought he was gay or something. I love getting the chance to see some of these old shows.
About 18:30 during the car chase they're on a street with vacant overgrown lots that featured in Carpenter's Assault on Precinct 13. Where the little girl at the ice cream truck got shot by the bangers.
I can't find the Police Tory episode The Return of Joe Forrester nor episodes of that series created from that pilot. If you have it or can get it please post.Thak you.

Exactly. And for every Columbo, Police Story & Hawaii 5-O there were literally hundreds of terrible and/or mediocre shows that no one remembers. The good stuff stands the test of time.
“Your college education helped. You’re 3rd in your class, you’re no dummy. You’re not known on the street, and your the right color.” Folks. I must say there is no such thing as systematic racism. Even back in the 1970’s.
How would YOU know. Is this based on your experience as a Black person growing up in the 70’s? Are you basing your assessment on a fictional television show, and not on statistics in the 70’s of Blacks in the police academy? I love these shows too, but that doesn’t mean we ignore the reality of racism in America even in the 70’s. 🤨🤨🤨🤨
Excellent episode I wish I was alive in the 70s such Great shows and music.
