A true sigma male is one who is content within himself. I’ve always wondered. Why so many people hated my guts without me even saying a word to them. But I further realize that because I was not into the drama, the gossip, the negative energies, and I kept to myself: that itself alone, offended many people.

It's very difficult to trust anyone I might add. Too many people make false promises, dissapoint you with Ill mannered behavior, or do something behind your back when you don't know (or they think you don't know) for you to feel comfortable getting that close.
Often I feel myself that I'd rather be alone with my family than complicate my life with friends who may cause trouble in it.

Being a sigma male is one thing but being lucky enough to have a sigma female as a partner is next level! People really cant wrap their heads around how fluid we are together. No drama, jealousy or dominance over the other. Only trust, repect and loyalty, freedom and peace. We also tend to not like other people and prefer to be alone or alone together.
I won a fishing contest years ago, winning a new pole and a thousand bucks. My family and friends that were there were mad at me, even though they were the one's that begged me all week to come out and enter. The only ones happy for me were my little nephews. My opinion about most people changed forever that day.

I get that shit a LOT as well! One frienemy (not sure how you spell that) in particular downplayed EVERYTHING I did! If he EVER gave a compliment, it was a backhanded one!! Everyone around me is 1 pay check away from doom I have 100k in my account. I’m right now in the sofa I had hernia surgery today. I’m in agony have no freinds family helping me it only drives me harder and makes me stronger the people around me would die if there wasn’t a army helping them

Tell me about it, I went to NYC for 4 days back in October all by myself but was hanging out with someone I knew out there and let me tell you it was like heaven being on my own and having all those days to do whatever the hell I wanted.

Best part of being a sigma male in the work environment? Being a incognito leader. People always asked me why I never wanted to be a manager. I tell them flat out, I can cause more damage being on the bottom of the totem pole. Never met anyone like me that threatened to fire their bosses, or kick the owner out of the building. But I also pick and choose my battles.

I’m a sigma personality but I had to raise an eyebrow of skepticism at some of the points asserted here. Namely that sigmas are not diplomatic, always speak their mind even when the truth can hurt others, or are close minded to other people’s ideas and perspectives. I have unique perspectives, but it really is the height of arrogance to assume that my perspective and ideas can’t be wrong or can’t be limited. My mind can also be changed if someone makes a good and compelling argument as well. I’m also capable of holding my tongue when I know the truth can hurt someone as well as collaborate with others.

As a confident Sigma male, I agree that you hit a lot of high points( but missed a lot if nuances, too) My great-grandfather was product of nature Sigma. @6foot, seven inches tall, he was the walking bill-board of societal bullying, by average 5 foot, 4 inch Bone-heads. As a person, he was a loving father(married to a 47 inch tall, mother of NINE children for 56 years, until his death) Depending upon with whom you spoke, he was either "The Town Drunk", "The Town Bully", or a shrewd business man & "your friend". In short, he was whatever the speaker painted him to be. And that is THE KEY POINT! SIGMA males don't care what makes people tick, because it is so easy to wind a weak mind's clock. SIGMA's don't care about $$, that's what weak minds chase. $$ doesn't give you power, it allows you to rent it for a while. Real POWER comes from handing weak minds a paint bucket/brush, then laughing as they paint themselves into a corner!!
Sigma males (true ones) do not give a slightest damn about the power. Money, on the other hand give sigmas freedoms - at least the freedom to do what they enjoy and freedom from "collaborative environment" (which is sugar coated definition of a herd)
I finally know why I act like this, I’m in my own world, while everyone else shares one, people who try to understand me honestly never will, because I’m unpredictable, one moment happy, the next silent.
This is part of the price of being a Sigma male, you will always get haters and jealous types, who want you to get into line and be part of THEIR hierarchy, and they get angry when they cannot put you into a character box type, because you play by your own rules, and certainly don't get involved in THEIR hierarchy and bow down to anyone.
As you know by now, I call myself Mr Spock as he is to me the ultimate example of a Sigma Male.
Those of you who know the series will recall the hostility and sometimes anger directed at him from the Doctor character "Bones".
Bones reacts a lot by his feelings and emotions on the spur of the moment, and he can flare up in anger in an instant due to a short sighted thought process.
Spock on the other hand can always see the bigger picture, and he has already decided the most logical decision even if it seems heartless to others.
Sometimes on a chessboard the Queen must be sacrificed, in order for the Rook and the Bishop to checkmate the opposing King, within the next 10 moves.
This is part of the conflict between Sigmas and the rest.
Luckily in StarTrek Alpha Kirk has known Sigma Spock since childhood, and so understands and greatly values his mindset, and most of the time he takes Spocks side over Bones, as he knows a computer is more flawless in its decision making, than a firey individual.

I remeber last year i came a cross a lady she seemed nice and a great lady, she had feelings for me and opened up to me but i told her that we can't be together even though i was and I'm still single. At fist she got mad and kept on begging but i told her i like her as a friend and wasn't ready for a relationship. Then she said "i like the fact you are honest however its painful."
Been single now for 4 years but im okay with it, and its by choice.
As a sigma male I realized that I don't fit in the puzzle piece of typical behavior. For example at work during lunch time I go to my car to relax. I don't stay in the office to listen to All the gossip and the two-faced hypocrisy of everyone else. We are not sheep like that.
i got told it was because i wasn't in debt, effectively a free bird. this has made infinitely more sense as to how i get treated respective to the situations im in.

2 of the greatest things about the Sigma is that we don’t give a damn what others think about us and our ability to walk away. The sheeple truly hate that.
Each year we are forced to confer with our line manager (the current one doesn't get at all) to discuss our strengths and weakness. My weakness has always been collaboration. This does not go unnoticed by staff and even though I write that I will work on it, miracles take a while and the impossible a bit longer.

As a sigma-like personality I disagree with be hated and unable to be diplomatic. Sigma personalities are adaptable, we do what needs to be done and remain quiet when we know the truth may be damaging to others. This is a learned skill a sigma personality aquires after experiencing several episodes of communication going south. I agree, a young inexperienced sigma personality may be disliked or even hated.
I care less about rank or gain, I've been face to face with corporate presidents and Holloywood figures male and female. These are people to me, no more no less.
I don't seek risk, but when motivated can turn into the Incredible Hulk.

Number 4 is debatable. I am happy to change my opinions and viewpoints when presented with reasonable logic. The stubbornness kicks in when someone tries to serve me senseless illogical rubbish. Opinions built on ignorant assumptions are worth as much as a fart in the wind. The only opinions I care about are ones built on reasonable facts and logic. Part of my biggest problem with society is that the vast majority of people do not operate on facts, logic, and intellectual reasoning. I've found in my nearly 50 years people hate direct, blunt honesty. Not that I've changed, but I acknowledged it. Mood flipping is because most, if not all Sigmas', are ambiverts.
Recently, I grew a beard, and seem to appear less intimidating. I look a bit militant otherwise so, something to consider.

Even though I'm a sigma, I still need someone to bury me, when I departed from this reality.
I always enjoyed being a lone wolf and a Maverick of thought. The sheep can be led by their Shepard as they choose, but that could never be me. I questioned everything and couldn't care less about what other's perceptions and opinions were of me even when I was younger, and now that modality has enhanced as an older adult. So be it.
I am spellbound watching these videos on my personality type and also depressed by them... much accurate information. My conclusion as a middle aged sigma male is that we do not fit in naturally with the world. This world of people doing things to be popular and accepted, even if what is said and done is illogical and fake. Try as I may over the years, I am always an outsider with a different, independent thought process.
Mostly I have come to peace with myself, but for many years wondered why did others hate me for no reason? Why couldn't I just fit in like my peers whether in school, college, or a career? Life would have been easier... While a Sigma male's personality has the alluring charismatic qualities, make no mistake, our mere existence and being is a disruption to other personalities and the status quo of society. The order (someone else's imposed hierarchy as others have stated).
I believe a sigma male can reshape the world if they want to (others can sense this and are threatened by it), but it comes at an absolute cost and loneliness is part of the cost.

My son is a Sigma. The hardest part for me to understand is his high standard for being a friend and intolerance for other peoples short comings. Of course they never see any defects in their own character. One negative event will cause sigmas to ditch a friend. So sigmas will sit at home alone with noone and nothing going on, and be proud of it. That's ok but it's not for me or most of the rest of the engaging world.

I fit the description of a sigma male but am not a dangerous, vengeful person devoid of etiquette or diplomacy. My Narcissistic parents scapegoated me. My childhood was filled with abuse, hatred, and attempts at mind control from my religiously besotted parents. Constant threats, physical, emotional, and psychological abuse, isolation, and severe scapegoating were daily issues until I left home. Did this make me a Sigma? I don't know!
People can't stand sigmas are not like them, but deep down, they wish they could have just a little of that sigmas' individuality

It took me 53 years to find that I've always been a Sigma male, all i need now is a Sigma woman to completely release my fullest potential. I believe that they're even more rare than my kind. I've received hate all of my life without being the cause, and i couldn't care any less about that, than i ever have. I had always noticed Alpha males as soon as i walk into bars, or restaurants, and our eyes always lock on each other, and we'd simply nod at each other, acknowledging our position in society.

They get mad at the person who reveals the truth to them instead of getting mad at those who deceived them. The reason for this is that you are exposing how gullible they were to believe the lie in the first place. The first reaction people always have is that they are being attacked, instead of feeling gratitude for being saved from the lie.

They say its a rare personality, but reading comments would suggest otherwise, and i dont exclude myself from this question either. I can relate to some of these traits, but idk if its me or not. They can’t be beta. A beta accepts being beta. A beta will defer or submit to an alpha.
That’s the difference.
I am a sigma and I know betas. The difference between us is, they view themselves as beneath the alpha and are happy to let him be assertive over them.
There is no true hierarchy, it’s about how you respond to hierarchies. You can’t be a “true alpha” or “true beta” as everyone’s hierarchy is different.
