So who else is here after Poppy admitted to giving Mike the badge just because it was the only name she remembered :D
Hahaha yes, it's really funny to see her reasoning with the added context lmao
🙋🏽♀️😆
me haha, but she doesn't even say his name when announcing the winning dish so she probably didn't remember anyones name at all😂
Meeee
yep but she called the dish "lentil salad", not even Mike's name 🤣
This went exactly how I thought it would: Jamie added bacon, Mike went Moroccan (it also could have been Asian) and if you told me barry got the wrong recipe to twist, I’d believe you.
Are we too predictable? 😂
@@SortedFood i think the marketing term is "on brand" 😂
@@SortedFood I was surprised we didn’t get any proper ben-nuendos, he managed to hold his tongue in front of the guest
And one by one you can see how an idea can spiral out of control. Jamie just adding bacon, mike with lentil salad, and barry just doing a barry.
@Johnny Caruthers and how does your comment is in any correlation with the op's comment? You high or something buddy?
Absolutely gutted that Barry didn't throw in a cloud egg, but him saying, "you fried pasta, so I'm making cheesecake." *almost* made up for it
Who is here after Poppy’s confession? 😂 Watched again and realized she didn’t actually say Mike’s name at the end!
The phrase :
-"But what do we have here though? We have fried pasta, right ?
So I'm making cheesecake " -
Is just so Barry. And I'm not even surprises any more.
Standard Barry move.
Was about to comment the exact same thing.
The most Barry move ever.
I love how Poppy just basically said "Yeah f**k it. Cheesecake"
Got it from Ben who was supposed to make key lime pie. No key limes, not a pie.
At this point i’d be more surprised if barry stayed on brief 😂
I love how Ben can casually say "bully our normals" and have the whole community help him 😂
Or have him bully himself... “I’m a big fan of lentils” I had no idea how utterly insane ppl are about lentils rn (dear lord I’ve been eating them my whole life pls don’t accidentally kill me...)
When I first came across poppy's tiktok my first thought was legit "imagine if she was on sorted"
“Baz you disrespectful pos” is the most genuine thing ever said on this channel
I had an idea for one: an All-Chefs pass it on with the normals setting the goal as something suitably nightmarish for only the first one. Be interesting to see if the saying "too many cooks in the kitchen" is amplified when they all actually know what they're doing.
i love this concept, and it reminds me that we never got a Chefs-only PIO where Ben and James passed the same dish back and forth a couple of times :(
Get Ben and four past guest chefs to make Ramen. See if that many chefs spoil the broth
Could be interesting if the normals were told this was the plan and then once they had set the theme/goal it was flipped and the normals had to do it all themselves
@@Kathnar1989 Yeah, but wouldn't that just be another normals pass it on? The whole point of an all-chefs one would be to see if they could come up with the original dish. If it were normals only, Barry would make a cloud egg.
Get the French chef.. get him to do his pass segment with him directing Ebbers in French again. Don’t tell ebbers.
“Can we start inviting guests just for the fun, not for the judgy bit.”
Jamie just described what anyone who ever had a chef as a dinner guest felt when others started to ask the chefs opinion about the food on the table.
General rule of thumb, unless the one who cooked asked for tips/help just say it's good unless it actually made you puke
And Jamie's on point! That's what I would also like to see!
See, that's why I rarely have chefs as dinner guests. And one of the few times I did I bought some very rare and high end ingredients and told him to have fun.
It was absolutely delicious and he told me that that was one of the nicest evenings he's ever had. No stress, a lot of mess and we knew it was gonna be great.
@@goranpersson7726 Nah mate, when you ask for an opinion, you have no right to be offended if said opinion isn't what you wanted to hear.
“You’re being sarcastic and being an Ebbers at the same time.”
*SHOTS FIRED*
Well, somebody has to make up for the lack of sassy ginger energy... I wonder when Ebbers will dye a red streak into his hair...
@@Taluien Maybe not dyeing a streak, but Ebbers and the boys are doing a great reminding us of Alastair 😂
Arent they the same thing? 😆
@@jono6379 You could have a point there.
@@jono6379 I think you’re onto something there!
I adore the energy Poppy brings to this group, she really compliments everything I love about you guys. I hope we can see more of her sometime.
Would be great to see her again!
Yes, she could fill James’ gap.
@sortedfood, can she stay? I love her banter!
Sorry, but I could not agree less. The guys have so much already. The dour James was perfect contrast to the others. We defo need a Jo Brand rather than a Poppy.
i found her laugh so annoying (and a bit of her attitude as well)!! i cannot bear that laugh! if she stays i will be watching a lot less of their videos unfortunatly
I think having a chef or a guest in the kitchen with the Normals was Amazingly entertaining! I can't wait for Poppy Pass it on! it's gonna be so much fun!
Once again Barry reads the brief chucks it aside and says “ok let’s make a dessert”
To be fair as a lover of dessert I’m totally okay with that
It was so creative and I bet it was delicious, but Mike's plays more to my taste. Jamie hit seriously decadent 200%.
Can't I just get all 3-starter, main and dessert? Fall into food lethargy and declare everyone a winner?
That was the funniest episode ever especially when Mike is like I've made a salad and then baz just pours it into a tortilla wrap and Mike loses it "baz you disrespectful piece of s**t"
Ruined by this Poppy person though. She was awful.
@@anonymous7192 Disagree! I think she fit in perfectly with them
It was funny but at the same time I was like yeah..that was kinda disrespectful lol…try it as it was meant to be first..then throw it in a wrap if you want…all in good fun but mike has a good point 😀😀
@@anonymous7192 Did we watch the same video? she was great!
@@anonymous7192 get out of it, she was hilarious and had great cooking ideas, i hope she becomes a regular
I love this girl! She goes all in and genuinely takes a bite and talks with her mouth full. She can be my friend.
Barry's dish already exists here in Brazil, is called "pastel", and this flavour is similar do the one we call "romeo and juliet" (cheese and guava paste).
I came here looking for this comment. "Deep fried ravioli" is straight up a pastel! Delicious!
Correct!
Yea Barry went a roundabout way of recreating fried pastry pockets that exists in various cuisines... Pastel, empanadas, puff pastry.. just to name a few...
Sim!
I am loving the fact that no matter who the chef is, they always find ways to throw shade at the normals. Even Ben got a bit more savage when the chef skills thing started. Great video as always. Poppy is a riot! Have her back! Maybe for a Chef vs Chef.
🙌😂👍
A riot? I found her insufferable
@@anonymous7192 dude, you hate every guests they invited. Go outside, do something helpful for yourself.
agreed, def have her back, shes awesome
Yes it'd be great if she did a Chef vs Chef, someone needs to keep Ben on his toes now that James has moved on.
I like how Poppy can perfectly cook her recipes and yet still proceeds to burn Jamie.
And how. that was just pure fire.
Can we keep her?
Poppy fits in so unbelievably well with the group, would love to see her partake in more videos. Her vibe, expertise, cuisine - would almost be too soon to say, but could fill the role of the second chef on the channel
Exactly what I was thinking
The funny thing is I feel like Jamie's was the only one I'd really consider "a twist" the others were totally new dishes. But I do agree that Mike probably deserved the win, his looked great.
Yeah though I do think he could have pushed it farther.
6:30 "This is a social media lesson for me" - the man who won a social media popularity contest with honey on toast.
got runner up cuz pretty sure Jamie won tht
@@dorapinisetti3337 he did beat a professional photographer though :D
@@NickkChann It was for a basic photogrophy though and baz's picture was too advanced
@@tziao no, baz got too fancy and obscured his food rather than celebrating it.
"I'm making cheesecake."
Of course you are, Baz. We wouldn't expect anything less.
He's making empanadas
well she did say take a dish and twist it. this is Barry being given a dish. (he would have given it a twist in general) and then asked to really give it a twist.
They just asked Barry to be Barry and then make it even more Barry.
the only other twist he could have made is to twist so far it goes back to the actual dish
I totally read that in Janice's voice.
@@juniorscott1537 me too!
We wouldn't expect anything more, either.
Of all the guests you have had, Poppy is most definitely my favorite. Personality, she has an amazing laugh and she is expressive and does not seem to be scared of the camera! I hope she returns (regularly)!
Not gonna lie, Barry and Mike completely outshone Jamie's "just add bacon" on this one
I have to disagree. I don't feel like Barry or Mike did a "twist" on the dish, they made a completely different dish instead. While Jamie's attempt was pretty weak, at least it was a change to the actual dish and not a different thing.
I mean comon, Jamie adding bacon was probably the most expected and least twisty thing ever.
Still the only thing in this episode I'll be making for myself.
@@craigbryant9925 I dunno boss - that lentil salad thing looked fantastic. Also I have no idea where to get good duck fat here.
well, it could be steak
And yet, he still moaned about losing. He added fucking bacon to potato, and thought himself Heston Blumenthal.
Poppy is adorable. Reminded me of Adele’s bubbly personality and I can’t wait for the Pass It on. I’m super happy she picked the rightful winner. I’m so inspired, I will be doing Mike’s Salad this week!
But the important question is will you be putting it in a wrap?
@@littlebluepanda394 nope. I don’t want Mike thinking I’m disrespectful!
I’m thinking, however, how about a toasted tortilla, for texture?
Really? I hated her
No one can “replace” James… but can we get Poppy as a regular on Sorted. She’s an absolute treasure!
Poppy has got to be my favorite guest so far. I'm not on TikTok but could definitely see myself giving her cookbook as a gift. Loved her sass, and pls pls have her back for PIO.
Damn, the Humor and salt levels were pretty high in this video.
And I'm so so here for this.
This was really entertaining and probably one of my favourite collaborations so far.
Agreed. Awesome energy in this one
ahhh i love poppy so much, love these collab episodes!! (ps i think you should collab with Josh and Ollie of Jolly/ KoreanEnglishman next, you guys are my favourite two youtubers hehe )
We'd love that. They are brilliant! Great idea 💡
SORTEDfood they recently did a video at bunsik which is a korean corndog restaurant- maybe you guys could try and make your own? 😁
@@annyeongitsme nice pfp😌 have you been to bunsik?? i really want to go!!
mano thank u 🥺 and yes! i went a couple of weeks ago. i tried the cheese and potato dog with sugar and mustard toppings - it’s filling but really good!! i wouldn’t necessarily recommend their tteokbokki - there is definitely better elsewhere in chinatown x
@@annyeongitsme ahhh i dont live locally so haven’t had a chance yet, but it’s defo on my list next time i go down, any other korean places you recommend?? :)
I enjoy the guest chefs. This lady was a delight to see. She blends in so well with the chaos that is our boys
Can we keep Poppy on here, she is so easy going and her laugh is so real and contagious. This is a real giggly episode, thanks Poppy & the gang 🥰🥰👌🏻❣️
Agreed, I love her
She’s definitely my favorite guest chef they’ve had
The twist that Barry added reminded me of the old school ultimate cooking battle, so out of the box
Barry: "What have we got here? Deep fried pasta. So I'm making...a cheesecake"
AKA Doing a Barry
I think the boys should be able challenge each other's badges. So for instance, if Barry wants to, he can challenge for a "plating" or "photography" badge, and they do a head to head, and he can possibly take the badge from one of the other boys.
Id say make it a betting match. You have to risk one of your own badges to challenge/steal from one of the others.
Love the energy that poppy introduces to the group! Keeps all the boys on their toes
Mike not knowing what his dish is and then calling it a chef-shuka in the next frame. 😂
He sure marketed that one quickly. 👍🏻
all the guest chefs have been great but Poppy is my favorite, she has the same kind of energy as the boys...it was a great episode! so pleased to know she's coming back
Such a great episode. Poppy is an absolute joy😂. My favorite part of this episode was the dynamic between Poppy and Mike. Followed by Mike losing his s*** on Barry for doing the exact same thing that Poppy did in her recipe.😆🌯
I honestly felt like Barrys was the best "twist" Although bacon would be a good addition, it is more like the next logical step.
Mikes dish took the simplicity and ease of use of the wrap and made it a completely different, much more complicated dish. Barrys took the premise (snackable fried pasta) and took it in a slightly different and inventive direction!
I think Mike gave the dish a moroccan twist. I would eat it in wrap though (not necessary a standard wrap bread. It would be great in a thicker flatbread)
To be fair short of just going with some other veggies I don't know what other option there really was.
While Jamie's one was a pretty simple twist (adding bacon and not changing anything), I kind of think Mike's one went too far beyond the boundaries of a twist into its own thing. At least with Barry's you could still say "oh yeah it's fried pasta", but Mike went from "pesto egg in wrap" to "lentil salad with fried eggs on top".
yep, even more when he got mad when poppy and barry had it in the wrap.
Like, if the only thing the dishes hav in common is fried egg, is it even a simialr enough dish?
I totally agree : a twist implies it's still recognizable
I'd just have given them all badges : Jamie for a serviceable, legitimate twist + Mike for an inspired re-interpretation + Barry for the kind of bonkers idea that'll play well on tiktok
imo, the only one that really counts as a "twist" on her recipe was Jamie's, because it was just a couple simple changes. The other two were almost entirely different dishes, but inspired by her recipe. Still a good show from everyone.
I reckon Jamie's with a bit of minced garlic and a drizzle of something, could have just pushed it enough to win
@@annother3350 The sauces were completely unnecessary.
I agree with you, Jamie made the same dish with a twist, Mike and Barry reworked the chef's dish and made a different dish, but congrats to Mike!
Poppy is hilarious, inventive and skilled. We need more Poppy, much more Poppy.
First it was Honey on Toast and now it's Lentil Salad
Mike always seems to be the one to annoy Barry the most
You reminded me the honey on toast and I can't stop laughing.
Fried dessert ravioli... Sounds like something from a county fair, and I am here for it 😋
It's something you'd find in every fair in Brazil
Mike literally went “99 ingredients but a Pesto ain’t one.”

@@Missmethinksalot1 I should’ve posted it earlier.
@James Cook So is your existence but ok.
I think of all the guests (James does not count), Poppy is my favourite. She knows her way around a kitchen, she's a great laugh and fits in so well.
Bring Poppy back more often she is a breath of fresh are and laughs.
Poppy would be *amazing* for pass it on. Humor, charm, personality, confidence and most of all, enough knowledge to keep the guys guessing, and/or save the mess they make.
THE EARLY BIRD EXPRESS HATH ARRIVED!
Pass It On with Poppy and her energy is definitely something to look forward to
Omg I’ve never seen Poppy before, she’s so much fun! Wonderful guest!
I'd try to make Barry's pasta. Having guest cooks for pass it on is going to be hilarious.
Looking forward to seeing a Pass It On with a guest chef, think that’s gonna be amazing
I really enjoyed Poppy's dynamic with the group and hope to see more collaboration in the future.
Absolutely love Poppy in this video, she's a great guest. Can't wait to see the Pass It On! (and any other future collaborations)
Love the traditional British chef starting with perfection is fat, potatoes, and salt. Nothing else
ebbers and tik tok are two things i didn’t know i needed to be combined in my life, but now that they are, i’m a very happy bean
Man she fits in so well with you guys. She's also sooo cute.
I absolutely adore her. You should keep her on the show.
Poppy should definitely be a regular chef on the show since James’ departure - fitted in better than any guest you’ve had in my opinion!
P.S. you’re all legends, keep up the awesome work!
100%
I would be totally for that!
She really is a great fit. I can't put my finger on what it is, but she's bringing something to the table that's been missing. I feel like it would be good for the show to have a counterweight to Ben. He's been doing a great job since James left, but having someone else there to reflect with him on everything that the boys are cooking is something the show needs I feel like.
Was thinking exactly the same...poppy is great.....and lovely....fits in really well with the team
Could not agree more!
Poppy starting with the Jamie clap was incredible
I have to imagine she'd say no, but invite her to fill James' spot
I really hope we see more of Poppy!!!
Poppy is delightful. What a great episode. Off to watch the Pass it On episode with Poppy now.
On Jamie's instead of the sauce he went with I would have gone with a spicy cheese sauce/fondue. Something with a really subtle flavor that just would have given it that melty, gooey quality that goes so well together with bacon and potatoes.
Spaff - showing us again how even the most excellent of creations can be made better with bacon!
Poppy and you guys have a very good chemistry together !!!!
Thank you guys so much for making such a very good vibes video in a very hard time like this, keep up a good work guys.
I absolutely love Poppy, she was so much fun
I really enjoyed Barry's twist. Very out of the box and on par for him. Looked delicious!
"Pasta chips are everywhere!!"
Me: Never heard of them.
Can you hire her permanently? She’s hilarious and you all have AMAZING chemistry together
OMG bring Poppy back for more episodes, she was really great!! Really fit in with your vibe.
Loving Poppy’s energy! All of these recipes looked gorgeous.
Love the way Jamie and Mike turn their heads at the same time when Ben said “while you are downstairs” but said nothing 😂
I want to see more of Poppy, she's so friendly and fun!
Yes! Please bring Poppy back; and other chefs too!!
When I've made ravioli (dessert of otherwise) I find it really good to use an ice cube tray for a mould. Lay the pasta into the tray, push into the holes, fill, wet the pasta and seal it. Then turn it out and cut it into very full little ravioli. Also makes it easier for consistency and getting the air out.
Poppy being dismissive of the Spaff’s slicing is a MOOD 😂
@James Cook Even if I am, what’s it to you, you troll?
Poppy is hilarious and I’m so excited for Pass It On!!
Poppy fit so well in with the boys. Glad we will get another video with her. also 100% how this video should of gone, Jamie adding bacon, Mike twisting in a unique but unusual way and Barry...well he's Barry
Poppy: so you need to put a twist on fried pasta.
Barry: I want cheesecake.
Poppy: Uh, okay?
Barry: I. W A N T. C H E E S E C A K E.
Ebbers: "What the internet loves more?"
All together "Cats."
when Ebbers asked that I when a entire different route. I mean cats are popular don't get me wrong. but...

Ultimate battle idea: The three normals have a week to design their own signature dish utilising all the skills they have learnt so far, then prepare and deliver it in the video. No limitations other than their own imaginations and a chance for them to play to their own strengths.
Love this idea!
I adore Poppy she's a treat! Brings a fun vibe to the gang and seemed like she was having a blast, please have her back many times!
Poppy fits right in: please make sure she is invited back a lot.
Love Poppy ,love Sorted :I couldn't ask for better! 🥰
Maybe I'm wrong but when I hear "a recipe with a twist" I still expect the original recipe just with something extra or modified. The only dish that was at all recognizable as the original was Jamie's. For Mike's recipe, the only thing in common with the original was that it had eggs. But hey, I'm not the special guest judge and it was still a great video.
I think Baz should have gotten it. He fried pasta. The twist is he took it from a snack to a dessert. I would have ranked them Barry, Jamie, Mike.
For Mike's I think it was a twist on the original pesto eggs, poppy added the wrap as far as I could tell. So Mikes twist was replacing the oily sauce of pesto with the harissa and doing other flavours to complement that.
For me Jamie was the winner because even though it was simple it seemed the most TikTokish.
yeah the small Towers just screamed "TIKTOK and INSTAGRAM".
I was super excited for this video because I love Poppy and it did not disappoint!
She's delightful. Excellent guest. So excited for the Pass it On episode.
Oh! 2 minutes fresh! Never had one this soon, I love it!
Post watch edit: omg, Poppy is a treat. She fits in so well with the boys. Great chemistry together
I really like Poppy! Her dynamic with the four of you was so good, and I can’t wait to see her in a Pass It On!
Poppy is soo chill. I like her style
I absolutely loved Poppy she vibes well with you guys!! Cant wait for the Pass it On!!
I mean the cheesecake raviolis are basically dessert pierogi, only mildly weird if you ask me ;)
My polish grandma would make blueberry peirogi.
I didnt expect anything else from Baz. That guy is a mad genius when it comes to thinking outside the Foodbox
I love poppy, her energy is immaculate 🥺💕
The safe choice was, as usual, safe. The eggs and lentils was exactly what I expected. But honestly I liked the creativity of the fried dumplings the best.
