Ooze is one of the 52 games in the infamous Action 52 multicart on the Genesis. While the player character remains identical from the NES version, it plays very differently, as they have to collect keys spread across 4 stages filled with various hazards.
LoganTheTASer ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/L... ) plays through the four stages in record time. - Ігри
thanks for publishing!
I adore when you see these runs include fun actions. Like a little splash of personality.
thanks for the kind words
This music starts playing in my head before and during a big date.
lmao
I wonder why his jumping and landing sfx sound more like shooting one.
Boy, they were really proud of Ooze to feature it twice
same story with several other games in the action 52 franchise.
Honestly, the Genesis versions of some of these games aren't completely terrible, and definitely much superior to their NES counterparts.
It's a shame that the one game that mattered most, Cheetahmen, turned out to be even worse in Genesis than on the NES.
i agree, the genesis version’s definitely the better of the two. the only problem is the amount of puzzle games. two or three would be ok, but the amount in this port is ironic for something called “action 52”.
They had a third party (FarSight) do the Genesis version.
oh that’s why it’s not as bad
@@LoganL2008 I think that the NES version is so chaotic it can be fun in a twisted way. Like, it occasionally throws you a boss at the end of a game or totally changes the gameplay (like in Bubble Gum Rosy). On the Genesis version, it's mostly repeating of the same level 9 times except the enemies get faster for example. It's a bit of an apples and oranges thing.
Action 52 for the Genesis. It exists.
The NES version is "so bad it's good" but this is kinda mediocre
Are "stopping inputs" and "completing the game" equated in this run?
TASes end at the final button press. As long as it leads to the game being completed, then it doesn't matter how much time passes between the final input and the game ending.
example: ThunderAxe31’s Driver 2 “survival” TASes. both of them end inputs after only a few minutes, but manage to survive up to the maximum time the game allows.
2:01 Dear Logan, you make him moonwalking?
The fact someone took the time to make a tas over this frustratingly hard game on the dumpster fire that is action 52 completely amazes me and I am curious on how much time it took. This is the gold nugget in the diarrhea motherload. Keep up the great work man.
Level 2 looks really fun.
so fun they added level 4
The music almost sound like it was taken from "Bubsy 2"
Something's telling me that FarSight Technologies couldn't program the scrolling right.
Very cool
thanks!
Super Ooze
At least Ooze can jump better in this version
If I had a penny for every videogame about ooze on the Sega Genesis I'd have two.
Which isn't alot but it's weird it happened twice.
Was the other one Boogerman? Or maybe The Pagemaster?
@@CodeHK literally The Ooze lol. You control the green skull of a mutated scientist and his slime body in a top down environment.
Think Flubber but action game.
Also that one is actually a good game!
Insert whosthatgit reference here
Oh, so you're meant to crawl through the pipe.
yep
Looks like a DOS game 😂
agreed
I'm pretty sure some of those monsters are straight stolen from Number Munchers.
The Ooze is loose. >:3
Wonder what happened between the NES and Genesis release lol
And for real, the soundtrack is catchy
The game itself has a few decent little games in it. Not excellent but more than playable.
the genesis action 52 is my favourite of the two for sure
how tf does action 52 get a sequel
it’s not a sequel, but a port with mostly different games
Why is this one called Ooze? All 51 other ones are ooze as well.
... Okay I'll leave
lol
This makes it look much easier and less boring. It's so fun when someone quickly finishes a short, yet boring game. :)
agreed
In this version, it is clear how the Character is supposed to look.
I thought he was supposed to look like the MIMAL elf on NES
on the nes version i couldn’t even determine if the character was male or female.
He looks like a green version of the Action Gamemaster or whatever his name was from the NES version's Cheetahmen.
This is better than NES, or not? For me is superior than the NES.
agreed
not my action 52. no intro scene. 0/10
lol
TasVideosChannel esta obsecionado con action 52
y todo es por mi culpa :)
wait action 52 was on the genesis
it was indeed! most of the games are different tho
Depression if it were game designer
if you had a Genesis but you got one of these D-tier games, you were screwed
Hey Logan.. request but Cry Baby on nes. It's not a bad game!!
hi there ammie… i have tried that and found it too difficult for me. thanks for the suggestion tho!
@@LoganL2008 hey even better. Has the community tried Lion King 5??? That game looks intriguing.. and TAS forever!!
i’ll look into it.
Looks like a mediocre IBM game from the early 90's. Still, I'm surprised: there was an Action 52 game on the Genesis? Didn't NES players suffer enough?
It wasn't too bad. A lot of the games did suck, and a few of the multiplayer only games could softlock if you didn't have a second controller plugged in, but there's fun to be had there. It's like a game compilation CD from the 90's that promised 100 games but they were all small miscellaneous games instead of stuff like Fallout 2 or Age of Empires. Honestly if you're curious, I'd suggest giving it a try. At the very least the music is amazing.
Boogerman but bad
