Amir Khan - Multani

Amir Khansahib sings Multani, an afternoon raga from the Todi thaat that is nevertheless quite different from Todi. Multani has P and S as vadi-samvadi, the aroha-avroha are 'N S g M P N S' and S' N d P Mg Mg (S)r ('N)S, and the pakad is 'N S g M P, (M)g M g (r) S. The asthayi of the vilambit bandish is "Surajan matwaala, jin piya prem ras pyaala" and the drut bandish is "Balma more tumse laagali preet".
