- The highly anticipated Great Eastern Main Line route revamp from Alan Thomson Sim has finally made its way to a release as of the 15th April 2024. This in depth revamp gives the veteran route a majorly required overhaul of many aspects throughout and improving a lot of stability issues.
If you are a fan of this part of the UK network then this route is one for you!

This new route, and the upcoming class 745/755 trains are going to look amazing here! Just can't wait for it all to come together!

Wait whose making a 745/755?! Would be great to have a 720 as well - more modern stock in general, on some routes it's impossible to do modern-day scenarios because the stock has been retired unfortunately!!

12:15 I believe that was from the original route. I think its called the Icona irl, its a very cool looking building
12:45 that there is the Olympic Stadium, now known as The London Stadium which is the home stadium for Premier League football club West Ham United
There is a stability patch on Alan Thompson for the original route that someone released some years ago and since haven't had any issues with the route.
It still wasnt great to be honest for me. Either way, this is so much better than the original / stability patch. The patch added nothing other than remove some stuff i believe.
@@TrainSim_TV - Hey how dare you, that was my patch! (D.Rogers) 😄 Joking apart, you're right, it was the removal of non lineside objects and the replacement of almost all 3D folliage. It worked well for what it was though. Took me around 2 months to remove and replace lot's of resource-intensive objects, one at a time, by hand, from the route. Does it compare to this new route from ATS? ....... Lord NO ! Can't wait to pick this up.

Never had any stability problems or crashing on the old version. Play it alot. My local route.
I thought that this new route would also be on the part of the ATS site where you just download routes for free.

@@TrainSim_TV when the hertford east line arrives attched to outside london liverpool street station of the GEML route on the hertford east line itself alot of things have been upgraded there are now OHLE outside hertford east station and the platform at ware station is now even longer for the new trains and the platform now goes under the road bridge near the station. hopfully these things will get added i have some pictures somewhere.
@@TrainSim_TV i just found out that Greater Anglia also go towards Ely station which is where the line ends for greater anglia which cound be included as well.

Yeah certainly would be great to see the route "branch" out to new areas other than to just Norwich. Branch lines are fun!

@@TrainSim_TV will we see these other lines as well in this like Hertford east' stansted Airport' clacton-on-sea' walton on the naze' southminster' Norwich' Harwich International ' Harwich town and southend on sea. and may be great yarmouth and Felixstowe.

How do you uninstall the AP Vegetation Pack?
Does this replace the old route or is it a stand alone version. As i have the harwich extension to the old version. .

Too bad, looks really nice. But I dont like subscriptions for reasons. I don´t like too how ATS manages installations. The tool had made too may problems in past, I don´t get the whole exe.file by buying/sub, its downloading everytime from the web if installation is started. AND: There should be a product page WITH details about content, what to get, what to be needed, and what is changed comparing to the original route. But no - all I get is "Please log in to view this content." Simple calculation: No product info page/transparency - no subscription!
