You can use your router and a planing jig to flatten the boards if you dont have a planer. Belt sander is definitely not the right tool for the job. It's a good looking board. But there's no way it sits flat without being planed.
@@hldunlap9714 well it has been a long time since the last time i did carve wood and stuff, but i never really begin. Just having fun with my cousin sometimes, making little woodenhouse for children, woodenhouse for birds o even spoon out of wood. I would say almost 3 years.

And a belt sander will flatten as well as anything if you use the right technique

Its a Ryobi Router...then you just have to buy the bits for your particular need.

Card scraper is used with 2 hands if used correctly you don't even need a sander to do any of it.
