i can't describe how much i appreciate you for removing all the plastic covers and showing that the wifi module is removable. i spent hours looking for someone doing exactly that. i borked my motherboard just now and wanted to know if the wifi module is replaceable. thx really.
Thanks for making this video. Like many others I’ve wondered if I could replace the bundled/built in WiFi module with a WiFi 6 adapter but I didn’t want to basically unbuild my entire machine to find out. This is excellent content thank you!!
Were you able to replace your wifi with a wifi 6 adapter? I'm hoping I can do the same thing and just wondering if you were successful or if you ran into any issues
THANK YOU! Knowing I can replace the WIFI module is really helpful since the Intel Wireless AC 9260 160MHz card that comes with the TUF doesn't support 802.11ac very well. I used to just plug in ethernet, but that's not an option for me at the moment.
Nice video, Like it's been said no one else has shown the WIFI adapter and pulling it out to replace it, I would've just bought the pro board with the connector for my case's front USB 3.2 type c port, and the WiFi 6, but the limited stock, left me with this board, and not that I'm unhappy, just more about future proofing, and bringing it closer to the pro board.
I bought the non wi-fi version of this because it only had WiFi5, and I really wanted WiFi6, so I got a PCIe x1 card. So since there was no obvious Wi-Fi card on the board, I was curious if it was under the shroud. Turns out, kind of, but not how I thought! I guess I technically could have bought it and simple upgraded it. That being said, I like the bigger antenna I got with the AIC, so I'm still satisfied. Really cool video!!
No, If you give the VRM heatsink a firm push, you can slide the cover back on. But the better way is to remove the VRM heatsink -> put the cover on -> put back the VRM heatsink
@@ReviewsForLifeYT there is a feature called Flashback in the Asus mothervoards, it allows someone to only plug the 24 pin connector and the cpu connector. After, you can just plug an usb drive on a specific usb port. but I don't wich one5
Do you think is possible to dismount the Wifi cover without taking the Motherboard from my case. I really don’t want to disassemble the whole computer 😂

No problem 👍

Using this video, I was able to take off the plastic cover and replace the old WiFi module with an Intel AX210. Thank you!
I was looking for exactly this video!!
I'm planning on swapping the WiFi out for WiFi 6, so thanks for showcasing that!
Glad I could help!
I know right, no one else has done this yet a month later, (not that I can find)

Came here for the WiFi removal info. TY
thanks for the video, you show the thing that i am looking for the wifi module is replaceable
I've been looking all over to see if I can remove this IO cover to fit a fan, its so bulky for no reason. Thank you!
No problem!
WOW you did the work for me, THANK YOU, i was wondering if i could upgrade the wifi module to wifi 6 easily :D thank you again
Glad I could help
Does anyone know if removing the heatsink in order to remove the I/O cover will require applying thermal paste before reinstalling the heatsink?
Did you have to remove the VRM cover to get the plastic back on?
No, If you give the VRM heatsink a firm push, you can slide the cover back on. But the better way is to remove the VRM heatsink -> put the cover on -> put back the VRM heatsink
Would you need to replace the VRM heatsink thermal pad if you removed? If so, do you happen to know the thickness of the pad?
Do you know if it's possible to update the bios without a cpu on this motherboard ?
i don't think it's possible without cpu

@@n11ls Hi! This motherboard does not support Flashback. I talked to Asus support and they confirmed it :(
is there any backplate available for mouting large cpue coolers?
you can probably buy backplates separately for your cpu cooler. From my experience, CPU coolers normally come with backplates
Insane video
